For puppies over 40 lbs., add 1 can for each additional 10 lbs. Feed pregnant or lactating females up to 1 1/2 for the same weight. Feed adult dogs 1/2 the recommended daily portion for the same weight. Adjust feeding level to your dog's individual needs. Shake well before opening. Keep fresh water available at all times. If feeding with dry food, reduce wet amount by 6 oz. for every 1/2 cup of dry food.

My dog has been on a homemade diet after being diagnosed with stage 3 kidney disease. I have been giving high quality lean protein with white rice & squash along with supplements-Hawthorne berry, CoQ10, ipakitine & vitamin b12. Now that I've reduced the protein even more in his meals, he doesn't seem as interested in eating as he was. Can I add chicken broth? Homemade with just dark chicken meat - no bones as I know they are high in phosphorus or will this addition be too high in protein?
