Keep a clean bowl of fresh water available at all times. Every dog is a little different, so optimal feeding amounts may vary with age, size and activity level. Please use the information below as an initial recommendation only and adjust when needed. Dry and wet food in combination will help to increase the level of water in your dog's diet. If feeding with wet food, reduce dry amount by 1/2 cup for every 6 oz. of wet food.

My Little Dog is Picky eater, and has to be grain free food. We tried others that she would pick at but when we bout the Grain free Chicken and sweet potato she leaves her bowl empty every day. She feels better and she looks healthier as well.

May cause heart failure

The FDA is investigating a number of dog food brands that may cause heart failure in dogs. The FDA took the unusual step, in 2019, of naming a number of brands that they believe may cause heart failure. Merrick is one of those brands. If you google "FDA names 16 brands of dog food linked to canine heart disease" you will find the information. All 16 brands have one thing in common, they are all grain free. I switched my dog to Merrick (the grain free chicken and sweet potato version) on the advice of a Petco employee, in 2019. My dog was diagnosed with congestive heart failure in 2021. It infuriates me that Merrick dog food may be the cause of my poor dog's heart failure. It also infuriates me that I have been paying almost three times as much for Merrick as regular, cheap dog food, because I thought the Merrick food would be better for my dog and that he would be healthier. And it turns out, it is likely the cause of his heart failure. This whole situation disgusts me.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Usually my beasts won’t eat unless I’m home. Since I started this food I will come home from work, church, etc and they have cleaned their bowls. Sounds good to me.

Yes, I recommend this product.

My dogs love it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have one medium size and one large dog and both seemed to love this food. I like that it's a smaller size kibble so it's easier for them to eat. Both of them devour this food. #freesample
