I buy the Duck flavour every week for our two large, 5yr old Norwegian Forest Cats. Merrick has done a good job on this recipe. Our male cat is extremely picky, and won't eat most foods, including the other flavours in this product line. Both cats LOVE the Duck pouches, and savage the gravy and smaller chunks. The larger chunks get left behind. That's the only thing stopping this from being a 5-star.

I purchased a few packs of these hoping to diversify her soft food selections but once she smelled it, she walked away from it and never looked back as if it offended her sensibilities or something. My dog used to eat Merrick so I know it's good quality so I let it sit for about an hour hoping she would rethink her bad decisions but no. So I microwaved it for a couple of seconds and she still showed no interest. This is extremely odd because she has never been finicky with her food, she eats EVERYTHING, her food, the dog's food (dog eats DUCK and PEAR dry kibble) and my food. I cannot go into the kitchen without her following and wailing like she's a starved street cat. Finally, I relented and let the dog eat it, she was waiting at the baby gate salivating like a starved man who was offered a saltine.
