Feed free choice to guinea pigs, along with plenty of fresh water. Supplemental food items may be provided, but should not make up more than 20% of the total diet. Care should be taken to choose appropriate supplemental food items.Mature guinea pigs may benefit from higher fiber, lower protein food items (e.g., grass hay), while growing, gestating or lactating guinea pigs may benefit from higher protein food items (e.g., alfalfa hay). Guinea pigs may be provided vegetables (predominantly dark leafy greens) and limited fruit (less than 5% of total intake) to provide enrichment.Thoroughly wash feeding and watering bowls on a regular basis. It is always good practice to wash hands thoroughly after feeding and/or handling pets. This diet is not for human consumption.Storage instructions: Store in cool, dry, well-ventilated area, free of pests and insects. Do not use moldy or insect infested feed. Reseal the package between uses. Freezing will not harm the diet and may extend freshness.

Would you say this is good guinea pig food? I normally get grreat choice but I thought I'd try this.
What hay is best for a guinea pig, and what amount of veggies should I feed per guinea pig? Thanks!
Im worried about my guinea pig, Tazo who I just got on July 1. I dont think he is eating enough vitamin C. I observed cage where he came from and noticed that he was only fed timothy hay, kaytees fortified daily pellets, and lettuce. He is brave enough to be hand fed by me. I tried had feeding him bell pepper but all he does is sniffs it and looks at me as if i am giving him a piece of cardboard to eat. Ive also tried putting it into a bowl and letting him eat it. Could you help me please?
Which vegetables can help in increasing guinea pigs weight.???
My guinea pig has always eaten timothy hay like crazy but for the past couple months she has pretty much stopped eating it completely. She still eats her pellets like normal, eats her vitamin C tablet and eats any fresh fruits/veggies I give her but she won't really eat any timothy hay anymore. What could be the cause of her lack of interest in hay? Is it something I should be taking seriously?
Is there a brand of food that dont contain the pellets, I've noticed that my guinea pig doesn't like eating the pellets in her food...she eats everything but the pellets & we end up throwing the pellets out so we refill her dish...we give her hay as well but I'm worried that she might not be getting enough food...she's not losing weight so far.
How to change to a New Guinea pig dry food with out upsetting there tummy’s
Is my guinea pig overweight? If so, what should I do to help him get to a healthy weight? I just weighed him and he weighed in at 3 lbs 1.7 oz.
Hello, I was wondering what would be the best food for pet mice when they are fat. His current food is: Daily blend wild harvest, his previous food was: vita prima rat mouse and gerbil formula.
Can Guinea pigs use grreat choice pine wood shavings? I see carefresh made a mixture of paper and wood shavings. I'm low on funds this week and I had bought and aired out (for 4 days) grreat choice pine wood for my hamsters. But as I said I'm low on funds and was wondering if just this week I could use the pine wood? I don't want to harm my piggies in anyway.
Is this okay to use for my guinea pig? I'm used to the carefresh with the heart and the animals on the front in the picture, but the mostly blue green one I'm nervous about. I don't want Cosmo getting any reactions. Are they the same brand but different packaging?
I just got a guinea pig about a week ago and she hasn't been eating her food pellets, only her hay, she eats a lot of the hay actually and I refill her hay everyday but she barely touches anything else I try to give to her, including treats or veggies.
