This diet should be fed to non-breeding birds. Feed this diet to young birds after they have their first molt and until they reach breeding age. This diet should also be fed to birds which are not kept for breeding purposes. Any time a bird is not breeding or raising young for periods of over one month, they should be fed Mazuri Parrot Maintenance Diet. To switch birds from seeds (or any diet they are currently being fed) to Mazuri Parrot Maintenance Diet, do a gradual changeover, starting with 90% seed (of current diet) and 10% Mazuri Parrot Maintenance Diet. On each succeeding day, reduce the amount of seeds by 10% while increasing the amount of Mazuri Parrot Maintenance Diet by 10%. On the 10th day, the diet should consist only of Mazuri Parrot Maintenance Diet.

I have a 22 year old Timneh African Grey parrot. I have used Harrison's pellets medium size in the past. It has been discontinued. My parrot won't eat the fine size and drops the large size into water. I need suggestions of what else to use.
How do I know if my bird is eating enough
My bird has switched to Lafeber’s Daily Diet pellet food. She gained too much weight with the other food she was on. I noticed she is eating it, but it’s turning into something similar to sawdust. She does seem to eat the dust though. I don’t know to give her more or not. I’m giving her 30cc of it a day. I don’t want her to get malnutritioned, but I don’t want her to gain weight. She needs to lose weight. What should I do? Should I have her eat the dust that’s left, or give her more pellets?
Griffon was a 4 yr old Scarlett chested parrot that suddenly passed away in the night. Findings by pathologist in a necropsy was renal gout.Excess protein or calcium can cause it. He and the cage mate are on Mazuri small bird diet and chop (veggies, grains, and Higgins vita seed mixed together). One cup of the seed is mixed with about 8 cups of veggies. Does this diet sound appropriate or is something adding in too much of the previous listed vitamins.
Give me a list of healthy food for pigeon.
Hello I have a 4 month old Black Capped Conure. I’m thinking about changing his diet to Lafeber’s pellet berries. Is that a good diet for him? Also how do you gradually switch the food? Thank you
We're wondering if there's anything we can do to improve her diet. Right now she is eating pellets (Zupreem, converting to Zupreem naturals), seeds, and we offer veggies every day despite her never really finishing them. We're now grinding up a Tums onto the food every day, as she was egg bound recently. We get 30-60 mins of time outside a day when possible, for sunlight. Any suggestions, or does this look fine? Thanks.
List of the best bird foods for parakeets
Is there a good high calorie supplement, vitamin or food that I can offer my seed junkie parakeet? She scored a poor body condition, was described as thin at her exam. Currently taking Metacam for an ouchy foot.
Mostly what kind of foods Bird's like to eat much?
Is there any rule for feeding pigeon? I mean is there any body weight to diet ratio that needs to be followed? My pet pigeon is 3 years and it's weigh is 250 grams. Due to injuries his medication is going on. I need to feed him orally using liquid based solutions. Based on the body weight how much grams or milliliters of pigeon food shod I give using a syringe?
Is there any natural herb/supplement that can help a bird who is experiencing puffed up feathers and bloody droppings?
