My kitten likes to scratch my wooden chair, doors, and occasionally the door frames. I bought her a wooden cat scratcher with catnip and all she does is bite, sleeps, and lays on it. Do you have any recommendations on what would be a good scratching post? Sisal rope, Sisal carpet, and etc?
ways to stop cats from scratching furniture?
My cat will not stop scratching our new stair carpet. He did it with the old ine too. We have posts and mats for him but he prefers the stairs. Anything we can do to stop him?
got 2 kitties 1 is 22 lbs other is 8, they need a window seat, I live way out in the country no shops, last 1 I bought was lousy, do you know of a good one, thank you so much for your time
Our cat is chewing up our furniture and expensive handmade blankets. He can chew a cardboard box down to nothing. He also drools a lot. We are desperate for solutions.
My little cat is scratching so much.. All the time like 3-5 minute straight.. And this is what he made.. He is 5 months old.
My kitten Cleo just got her new cat scratcher a week ago but hasn't used it for scratching yet. It has a toy attached and she loves to play with that but not scratch. How can I get her to scratch it instead of my pants or couch?
Hello, My cat keeps scratching the fabric coach, I've tried covering it with thin foil for about a week, She scratches it once the foil is off it. I've tried sticky tape even spraying (gently) with water, I have scratching posts around it and around the house(she uses them too) how can I stop her from scratching the couch? Thank you
What can i do to keep my cats from scratching on leather furniture?
My cat will not stop obsessively scratching the carpet no matter what I do. She is neutered, she will remove caps, she will rip up aluminum foil, I put scratching posts on every single area she scratches and she moves them. I am hopeless right now and trust me i am trying everything I can do so I won't have to declaw her. I'm going to try 1 more thing. I'm going to make a homemade cat deterant spray but I need help deciding what type. Should I make a vinegar based spray, lavender or citrus?
My cat has a serious and obsessive scratching behavior. I have tried EVERYTHING. She is neutered, tried ALL TYPES OF SCRATCHING POSTS/MATS, tried deterrent sprays, covering the area she scratches, ect. She has an issue scratching the carpet of my home specifically in all the corners. I have covered them all except one because she moves what is covering it. She has ripped up my carpet and she will literally sit there for HOURS scratching when I'm not around! She is doing it for fun! Please help!
I've moved and to get my cat acclimated I've decided I'm going to crate him while we are working. The crate i have is 42"x28"x30", with a dual level. Will this be enough space for my cat? He is 14y/o, and will be crated for 6-8 hours 5 days a week for a few weeks, until he gets used to the area. Of course he'll be inside the house, and let out in the evenings and sometimes for a bit on lunchtime.
