Returned it before even powering

Couldn't even secure it to lip of tank with included bracket as it was not closed enough to prevent it from just sliding off the lip. Not trying to use suction cups and find light floating in tank one day either. Cheap design and overpriced even at 38% off. Save your time and money on this marineland stuff.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Easy Installation, Professional Look

In less than 10 minutes, my 55 gallon aquarium went from basic, harsh lighting to professional, natural lighting which was very calming for both my African Cichlids and myself. The lights are simple to install and well hidden at the aquarium rim. The blue moonlight mode makes for a nice transition to dark. I only wish that the lights (2 sets for a 55 gallon) could be paired together to operate with a single switch. For the price, however, I cannot complain.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Unfortunately I bought a Marineland hidden LED light, about $50 Canada. It worked great for a day. When I turn it on the next day, only the blue lights work, and none of the white lights. I won't be too harsh because these things happen. But as is I would not buy another Marineland light. I have Fluval LEDs , Nat Geo LEDs and they all work great and have for a long time. Sorry but I have to rate this very low. One star.

I have a planted tank with small fish. The plants need light, the fish need hidey spots as well. I don't use a lid because the filter doesn't fit. The answer is the "clip lights" that I bought. These hide around the rim and because they're in various sizes, I can control what areas I light up or darken down. My tank actually looks natural and the fish suit themselves to find daylight or shaded areas.. I NEED MORE!

This came with my 60gal marineland tank with stand and lid. Is supposed to be white or blue, but the blue setting flickered even when we first purchased it and now does not function at all. Confused on how to get a replacement or if I want one. I did enjoy the mounting concept, though.

Using outside for pond waterfall

I have been using outside for my pond waterfall for over five years straight. The switch stopped working for blue light only. However, The blue lights work with the white ones. This is because I never weather protected the switch.I cant believe it lasted that long. Also, before I used this in my pond, I used it in my reef tank

What is the voltage on this strip or the power supply

  1. From Marineland's site, the 21" model has 72 white and 16 blue leds, both types are 0.06w each. That gives us: 4.32w of white leds + 0.96w of blue leds = 5.28w total

What is the Kelvin Rating on the white lights? Is it high enough for moderate lighting for plants?

  1. I have plants that originated in Asia they flourish under the lights.

Would this help with planted tank not alone but in addition to other lighting. Or strictly to show off fish.

  1. It's not a grow light for plants, but I think it would help brighten up any tank no matter the contents.

How do u plug the light don't understand

  1. This light clips onto the top frame of your tank. You direct the light at an angle into the tank, then plug it into your outlet.
