Lyretail Anthias are brightly colored and make an exquisite display when added in a group. The Lyretail Anthias can be added in groups of at least three, but they do much better in a harem size of 6 or 9. Usually, one in the group will morph into a male, but a male Lyretail can be added for every 4 or 5 females, which gives a much more completed look and saves the fish a dominance struggle. The females are predominately orange in color with yellow in their fins. They have a pinkish purple stripe that goes from their eye to their pectoral fins. The males are predominately red and purple in color with vibrant red and yellow in the fins. The males also have an elongated dorsal fin, which helps with identifying. They have a red stripe that goes from their eyes to their pectoral fins. The Lyretail Anthias has a maximum size of about 5" and will need a substantial amount of swimming room.

ACCLIMATION: Avoid exposing new aquatic life to bright lights after opening the box. Turn off aquarium lights prior to floating aquatic life. Allow the sealed bag with your new fish to float in your aquarium for at least 15 minutes (but no longer than one hour) to ensure the water in the bag matches the temperature in your aquarium. A bacteria booster addition can assist with the addition of new aquatic life. Petco offers free water testing in store to determine if your water is safe for the addition of new aquatic life. DIET: A well-balanced diet consists of a variety of flakes, pellets, freeze-dried and frozen foods, depending on the species. FEEDING: Feed sparingly and no more than fish can eat in 1-2 minutes. Overfeeding can quickly foul the water, especially in smaller aquariums.
If we need to contact you for any reason about your order, shipping of your package may be affected. Once your order is placed, you will receive a confirmation email with your order summary. Orders are subject to verification of payment information by phone or email. We ship for arrival to the customer Tuesday through Friday and Saturday for an extra charge where available.

My betta is a baby boy (4monthold) When I first got him he was red with white. 2 months ago his growing fins began becoming blue. Abt 3 weeks ago I see that he began losing his color a bit& began becoming kind of transparent, so I took the water to get checked& the water was good but the store couldnt check for ammonia cause they had ran out of that test(water has conditioner). Last night I notice that he started getting a shiny silver color on 1side of mouth& in gill. But he is acting normal
Western Kingbird, male, 1-1/2 years old. Nodule between eye and beak on both sides. Seems to be semi-hard. Showed up in last two days. Butt seems to be slightly swollen, red and occasionally chirps when he poops. What is it and is there anything I can administer to help?
I have two male fish guppies. One of them seems to have like a wired black spot on its belly (in the middle of its body). Is this normal? Could it be a disease? Any cure to this? I’m worried. Also it has a little bit of white on its tail :(
Hi here, I’m really worried about my fish. He has this red spot and I don’t know if it’s something to be concerned about
My male betta seems to be ill and I can’t find an aquatic vet. I think he has tail rot, but I’m not sure what else.
I cannot tell if my baby leapord gecko is a boy or a girl. I need assistance please :)!
What morph is my leopard gecko?
I have a lutino budgie that I had got on Christmas as a gift from Petco. I wasn't there when my family picks "her" out but they said that the worker there claimed that she was a female but after a little while from receiving her I highly doubt that. "Her" cere is pink but her behavior is like a male She squeaks loudly, very territorial, bobs "her" head and is always chirping. Our male budgie is much quieter and has a blueish cere with white circles. Could it be possible that they switch genders?
I have two male fish that I'm not sure of the breed there names are Ben(Benny) and Rosco can u please help
What sex are my birds?
