The included zip ties for fastening it to the kennel did not hold well and would often come loose. I had to use my own zip ties to replace the ones that kept coming undone. Also, the cover is just made out of sun shade material and only provides protection from the sun but not the wind, rain or cold. The only good thing I can say about this purchase is that the seams and grommets are nicely sewn.

Looks exactly like the picture; parts were all in tact and of good, durable quality. The only complaint is that the instructions weren't very detailed and descriptive--would've been helpful for people who don't have handyman expertise. It took a total of two hours to put the kennel together with the help of my boyfriend.

I am sorry I haven't an answer for you surely someone at Petco could answer your question. I have bought a cage (I don't remember the size it was) for our very small dog which was 5 weeks old and now is soon to be 2 yrs old she weighs about 5-7 pounds. I believe we made sure she would still fit in by the time she reached her adult stage. She still uses it. I hope that helps you as I do not know the size of your animal and that what mentioned has something to do with your question.
