Is Purina Layer Pellets a good brand for chickens? What else is there (better or worse idc)
My hens all seem to have vent gleet; with whitish droppings on their back feathers. I’ve tried giving apple cider vinegar, probiotics, and yogurt to them and it seemed to help a little but nothing has made it go away. Over the past few days my Olive Egger hen has been a bit lethargic. We thought it had something to do with the heat but we aren’t sure. She also started making a strange coping noise, almost like a gurgle or gasp in the back of her throat. Thanks for the help!
I have a Japanese quail... and its poop is just like water I'm worried about what to do....i have only fed him him simple grains and cucumbers these days
I own twenty-one white cornish cross chickens that are about four weeks old. We have a weather forecast that shows there will be a low of thirty-nine degrees at night this week. Do I need to use a heat lamp? Thank You!
my hen is bleeding from beak
I was cleaning out my new chicks water dish and found something...concerning. Possible parasite? it appears to be a worm; it couldn't have crawled in since the brooder is inside. I've raised chickens before and never encountered something like this...any ideas of what this is exactly? This occurred on the second day of having them.
What is the best dog bowl material that is non toxic, going to stay clean, not get a film at the bottom and not harbor bacteria?
So my puppy River loves to stand in her water bowl when she drinks and also loves to purposely dump it over. We have a very large water bowl because we have four dogs so when she knocks it over it basically floods my kitchen. What can I do or use to keep her from standing in or knocking her water bowl over?
Can I use Farnham blue dressing wound dressing and antiseptic on my chickens wound?
My quail. - Poops white and cloudy with a hunt of brown - still walks around and wonders the house like normal. - she would normally jump at anything that looks like food but lately she hasn't been as insterested. - whitening beak that looks like its layers are shedded - She has a mate but they are seperated. Could she be having chicks? Could she be stressed?
How do you treat a open wound on a chicken?
My chick's droppings are reddish brown
