How long do chicken eggs take to hatch and how to care for them with out the mother to keep them warm, with out using a heater

My hen was laying on her eggs and were due to hate 2 days ago. Well today, the hen abandoned the eggs for at least a couple hours, so I candled them, and then brought them inside the put in an incubator with a heat lamp, etc. Anything else I should do, and what would cause her to stop sitting on them? This is a question about chick hatchlings. We have Siklie chicks hatching. One just hatched in the coop the hen is using. When is it safe to remove the chick from the coop and place under a heat lamp?
