My kitten is the anxious type in general. Today I decided to buy a litter box with a hood and door because she makes a mess in her other grey litter box despite having a large mat to capture the excess litter. My cat goes to the bathroom in the litter box. Yet for some reason he refuses to poop deep inside it. He goes partially in until his butt is just barely over the edge then poops and he sometimes misses. I’ve changed litter, litter boxes, and even got a covered lid that I close every time he goes. Still gets as close to the edge as possible.
