Gibbs my new 1yr old cat, he's familiar with the pink round platform ball trackor on the left. Because he had one to play with at the Northshore Animal League. At 1st he's would pounce the scratch not understanding he could scratch it as well, until I pour a little catnip on it..its organic, but wondering if it's alright brand? Or if there is a better idea to help him also understand vertical scratch post as well. as you can see he understands, he's not grasping vertical post besides walls/sofa
Medium size black spot with pink edges on cats leg
I just adopted mittens from my local shelter on June 8. When I brought him home he was very scared. Now he has settled in our home. I found out that mittens doesn’t like scented litter and was refusing to use the litter box. So I bought him arm and hammer unscented litter. I put him in the litter box and he sniffed it and jumped out. What should I do now? He has been going potty in the shower, should I put the litter box in the shower?
Mars is about 13(ish) pounds and the vet said he's most likely a Maine coon mix and he's a male, with a (biggg) pouch. He was a playful cat when I got him at 4 months. Now at 11 months he'll play for a minute or two and then stare at me like, "what are you doing?" The most excerise I see him do is jump to this spot on the wall and touch it with his paws after staring at it. He sleeps a lot and I know that's a cat thing, but should he want to play more? Should I try something new?
She jumps up to her to ledge and I am just wanting to know of it is healthy for her to jump that high sometimes she uses her log house to climb on for a higher jump but mostly she jumps over so is it healthy for her to jump this high

Help indentifing a lump on my mother in laws cats foot
My cat only likes toys with some type of string but then he chews thru them and won’t play with them anymore. What type of toys would be best?

My cat has a lump the size of a quarter under the left side of her chin
We recently replaced the carpeting in our house with hardwood floors. My 13-year-old healthy cat likes to jump up/down the furniture and shelves and I worry that the impact of the landings is hard on his joints. Should I buy rugs for him to land on? If so, what products would be helpful?
