Offer a fresh serving of Tropical Fruit Gourmet Pellets to your budgie daily, placing in a clean food dish. The average serving portion for a parakeet is 1 1/2 teaspoons, but adjust the serving so pellets are available all day. Include Lafeber's Nutri-Berries as 20% of their total diet and fresh fruits and vegetables as about 20% of their total diet. Always provide plenty of clean, fresh water. For more foraging fun, "hide" some pellets in other places where your budgie enjoys hanging out. Be sure your parakeet finds these within the day!

List of the best bird foods for parakeets
I have a 22 year old Timneh African Grey parrot. I have used Harrison's pellets medium size in the past. It has been discontinued. My parrot won't eat the fine size and drops the large size into water. I need suggestions of what else to use.
Is there a good high calorie supplement, vitamin or food that I can offer my seed junkie parakeet? She scored a poor body condition, was described as thin at her exam. Currently taking Metacam for an ouchy foot.
Hello I have a 4 month old Black Capped Conure. Iām thinking about changing his diet to Lafeberās pellet berries. Is that a good diet for him? Also how do you gradually switch the food? Thank you
My bird has switched to Lafeberās Daily Diet pellet food. She gained too much weight with the other food she was on. I noticed she is eating it, but itās turning into something similar to sawdust. She does seem to eat the dust though. I donāt know to give her more or not. Iām giving her 30cc of it a day. I donāt want her to get malnutritioned, but I donāt want her to gain weight. She needs to lose weight. What should I do? Should I have her eat the dust thatās left, or give her more pellets?
My birds poo has been this color for the past 3 or 4 days? He has been eating Zupreem Fruit Pellets.
I have 2 parakeets and I have been feeding them seeds and millet. I believe that what I am currently feeding them is not nutritious. I am currently training them to eat fruit and vegetables and to be hand tamed. I would like to know what food can I buy for them so they can eat nutritious and I can take my time training them.
my parrot is ignoring food which she use to eat before and now she only eats almonds and dry fruits but its not good for her health to give it daily so plz suggest to me something its indian ringneck 11 months of age and is healthy i checked the poop to.. suggest me to give which is available in india..
I have two adopted parakeets. I have tried introducing dried fruit, fresh fruit and even millet seeds. They only are interested in regular bird seed. What can i do? It's been months. Thank you
My cockatiel has been eating Leferberās Premium Daily Diet pellets as a staple diet. Sheās also been eating broccoli everyday. I also give her a bit of crushed eggshells once or twice a week. She has a cuttlebone available at all times. Iām wondering if this would be an okay product to give her? She isnāt much of a veggie eater. Will this be beneficial or unnecessary for her? Iām including the details of the product in attached photos. I do feed her some seeds as a treat sometimes. Thank you.
My parrot eating well.but look like so lean..what to do doctor?
We're wondering if there's anything we can do to improve her diet. Right now she is eating pellets (Zupreem, converting to Zupreem naturals), seeds, and we offer veggies every day despite her never really finishing them. We're now grinding up a Tums onto the food every day, as she was egg bound recently. We get 30-60 mins of time outside a day when possible, for sunlight. Any suggestions, or does this look fine? Thanks.
