Offer a fresh serving of Tropical Fruit Gourmet Pellets to your macaw or cockatoo daily, placing in a clean food dish. Please see the average serving portions below, but adjust the serving so pellets are available all day. Include fresh fruits and vegetables (about 20% of their total diet), and always provide plenty of clean, fresh water. For more foraging fun, "hide" some pellets in other places where your parrot enjoys hanging out. Be sure your bird finds these within the day! I have a 22 year old Timneh African Grey parrot. I have used Harrison's pellets medium size in the past. It has been discontinued. My parrot won't eat the fine size and drops the large size into water. I need suggestions of what else to use.
My bird has switched to Lafeberโs Daily Diet pellet food. She gained too much weight with the other food she was on. I noticed she is eating it, but itโs turning into something similar to sawdust. She does seem to eat the dust though. I donโt know to give her more or not. Iโm giving her 30cc of it a day. I donโt want her to get malnutritioned, but I donโt want her to gain weight. She needs to lose weight. What should I do? Should I have her eat the dust thatโs left, or give her more pellets?
Is there a good high calorie supplement, vitamin or food that I can offer my seed junkie parakeet? She scored a poor body condition, was described as thin at her exam. Currently taking Metacam for an ouchy foot.
My cockatiel has been eating Leferberโs Premium Daily Diet pellets as a staple diet. Sheโs also been eating broccoli everyday. I also give her a bit of crushed eggshells once or twice a week. She has a cuttlebone available at all times. Iโm wondering if this would be an okay product to give her? She isnโt much of a veggie eater. Will this be beneficial or unnecessary for her? Iโm including the details of the product in attached photos. I do feed her some seeds as a treat sometimes. Thank you.
We're wondering if there's anything we can do to improve her diet. Right now she is eating pellets (Zupreem, converting to Zupreem naturals), seeds, and we offer veggies every day despite her never really finishing them. We're now grinding up a Tums onto the food every day, as she was egg bound recently. We get 30-60 mins of time outside a day when possible, for sunlight. Any suggestions, or does this look fine? Thanks.
Hi, i have 2 new young cockatiels and we have to travel for around 4 nights and i want to leave them enough food, so i was wondering if it is okay to leave them homemade dried fruits, sunflower seeds and phalaris (canary seeds)? If dried fruits are okay, which fruits should i make for them? thanks in advance.
How do I know if my bird is eating enough
My sun conure is 4 months old and has still not learnt to eat anything by himself he just throws the pallets if we keep inside his cage
Hello doctor my green parrot eating like what humans eat like rice or snacks ND biscuits all eating it's good for him health?? Parrot won't eat much vegetables and fruits
my cockateil has watery yellow poop
My hyacinth macaw is covered with scabs. We thought it was the rough winter and a very dry house, so we upped the humidity and apply raw coconut oil to the affected areas every day which helps, but new scabs keep popping up and the problem doesn't seem to be going away. What else could cause this kind of skin problem? He eats mostly macadamias but regularly gets fruit (bananas, grapes, mango) and sweet potatoes. I have started crushing up high quality pellets with his nuts to up his nutritio
I am getting an 8 week Cocker Spaniel. I am not new to Cocker Spaniel, just puppy versions. I want to try a new food for her, and need suggestions. I did research & came across these dry foods: Merrick Grain Free Real Salmon+Sweet Potato, Merrick Limited Ingredient Grain Free Real Salmon+Sweet Potato, Taste of Wild Pacific Stream Grain Free Smoked Salmon, Taste of Wild Appalachian Valley Small Breeโs Grain after Roasted Venison. Are any of those good, if so which one? Want to stay chicken free.
