Nutri-Berries Feeding Schedule Combine Nutri-Berries with your bird's current diet. Once your bird begins eating Nutri-Berries, discontinue the previous seed mix. Note: Most birds accept Nutri-Berries right away. However, if your bird does not initially eat the Nutri-Berries, flatten them and mix with current diet until accepted. Once your bird is eating Nutri-Berries, feed your bird as much as will be eaten in a 12-hour period (about ten to 12 Nutri-Berries). Let your bird empty the food dish before adding more Nutri-Berries. Ideally, your pet bird will be fed twice a day, with the dish being emptied after each meal.

SUZY TURNS 50 EATING NUTRI-BERRIES

Peg2468

Our Cockatoo Suzy, had a bad habit of eating only the Safflower and Sunflower seeds in her loose seed mix and leaving the rest. I tried the seed balls back in the early 90's. Never looked back, she has been eating these seed balls for 29 years and counting. They are cover in vitamins so it's a complete diet. I still have to give her food off my dinner plate, if we want to eat in Peace. Suzy has lived with us since 1978. Never had a sick day or vet visit. She turns 50 this year!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Good but...

These are more difficult to find in the 20lb size and Petco seems to carry these on a regular basis, good for my Umbrella Cockatoo who loves these. But, The the other item I was looking for was the 20lb Kaytee Rainbow Chunk was not available and had to go elsewhere to get it, but as I ordered both on a Friday, the competitor's purchase was at my door before Petco even shipped it. A bit of a let down on shipping, but it did show up on Thursday

No, I do not recommend this product.

It was originally suggested that I purchase these to disguise liquid medicine for my chickens. However, they absolutely love them and they are now a daily treat.

Question for the vendor: What is the expiration date on the for Macaw Cockatoo Nutriberries 3.5 tub

  1. There always is the lot # and an expiration date on the container cover. I bought this container about a month ago and the best by date is 9/01/2022. I have only one lesser cockatoo and we always empty the container before the best by date.

Any added salt/sugar in Lefeber Classic nutriberries for macaws and cockatoos?

  1. Yes, there is salt and corn syrup in the ingredients...

How long does the 20lb container last for one macaw?

  1. Hi LindsMarie, On average, birds eat food approximately 1/4 of their body weight every day. For example, if your pet is 3lbs, The 20 lbs may last 26 days (.75 lbs/day). Thanks,

is it appropriate for conures

  1. I think that conures need a bigger seed so they can carry it to where they want to eat, this product had too many little seeds
