Ingredients
Ferric Subsulpate, Aluminum Chloride, Diatomite Bentonite, Copper Sulpate, Ammonium Chloride, Iodophor.

- You can get alum power in the spice aisle at Walmart. Only one ingredient. It’s been used for centuries to stop minor bleeding

This used to be NOT safe and/or recommended for birds. Have they changed the formula?
- Thank you for your question. According to the manufacturer, there has been no change to the Kwik Stop Powder. It has always been safe for use on birds.

Can this be used on trimmed bird (parakeet in this case) beaks?
- You need to get your parakeet a cuttlebone so he/she will trim his/her own beak!!!

I live in humid country and it gets moist and crumbly. Is it still safe to use?
- I've used mine under the same conditions and it still works. They do sell a gel form of this so the moisture shouldn't be a problem.........you will just have to administer it a bit differently, (putting a small ball of it on a Q-tip and then applying it.)

My pets claw is bleeding we put starch to stop the bleeding
I accidentally trimmed my cat's nail too much (she moved abruptly), and she has a small bleed. It's late at night Sunday besides it's difficult to find & purchase Quick Stop Powder. What to do?
I clipped my dogs nail a little too short. It was bleeding so I used corn starch but bought kwik stop just in case. It hadn’t bled for a few hours at least. Well I put her outside and I think the snow on the ground made it start to bleed again. We put kwik stop on and a bandage. When is it going to heel enough where the moisture won’t affect it?

Treatment for nose bleeding dog
My dog somehow ended up with a damaged tissue under her carpal pad while playing with dogs. I wiped the area with damp paper towels, applied pressure with clean towel to stop bleeding and then applied kwik stop styptic powder with a damp cotton pad and bandaged the leg. I kept the bandage on for couple of hours and then took it off. The photo is 1 week after the injury. There is no bleeding, she walks good on her leg with no signs of pain so Im not sure if Im supposed to take her to the vet?
