Great vest looks great. Floated my 80lb Golden Retriever but the stiching did start to unravel over time.

Best life jacket!

Best life jacket! Very adjustable so that it fits my border collie's huge rib cage and narrow waist. Love the leash clip in the back. Having the 2 handles makes it possible to haul the dog back into the kayak after he "falls out". This is our second one so that we have 1 for each dog. We've had the first one for about 4 years now and it's still going strong!

Perfect for my XL 100 LBS German Shepherd

I have tried many many dog life jackets and all but this one were too short for my my pups long torso. Not to mention all the previous ones filled up with water and weren’t exactly helpful. This one fits him snug and has lots of room for adjusting it to fit him perfectly! I can’t speak to buoyancy because my pup doesn’t enjoy floating but one of these days we will get there lol. I think she just walked out It was a little more than I wanted to spend but it as money well spent! Thank you for providing a quality product for the big doggies!

Safe, Comfortable Fit

I have had many life vests for my dog in recent years. This one is the least restrictive with plenty of safety options and a secure grip handle. My dog does not seem to hate this jacket for a change. :)

Great vest. I have a Border Collie who's a bit lean and the small was the right size for her.

Questions

1 - 6 of 6 Questions
Sort by: Newest Answers

Is it bulky?

  1. Thank you for asking about this! Though the jacket is puffy by nature since it is a life vest, it is as streamlined as possible and quite light. The extra-small is 7.2 oz., the small is 7.7 oz., the medium is 11.2 oz., the large is 12.3 oz., and the extra-large is 14.4 oz.

Does it have e to under th belly

  1. Yes it has a buckle under the belly area.

What is the weight limit for a medium? She is a pit

  1. Thank you for your question! Our Surf-N-Turf Life Jacket is not measured by weight. In order to determine what is the most appropriate size of vest for your Pit, you will need to measure her girth and neck. Please feel free tor reach out to us directly at 1-877-847-3868 for further assistance with determining the correct size.

would the xlarge fit a 190 lb mastiff?

  1. Thank you for this question! To determine if this will work for your companion, it will be necessary to measure them. Please measure the circumference of the base of their neck, around the deepest part of their chest and the length of their back. Compare these measurements to the sizing chart, and this will tell you which size(s) will be appropriate.

I have a 5 and 8 lb dogs. Will the x small fit them

  1. Thank you for your great question, Audrey. Rather than judging by weight, the best sizing results will come from measuring your dogs. Pleas measure the circumference of the base of their necks, around the deepest part of their chests and the length of their backs. Compare these measurements to the sizing chart, and this will tell you which size(s) will be appropriate.

Do you think this would work well for a 3-legged pup?

  1. I think so! Should be no different if they're missing a back one. The strap is across the front chest fairly sturdily, so it should hold if they're missing a front one, too. One note, if you were hoping to use the handle quite a bit BECAUSE of the 3 legs: my dog is only 35lb and feel like the padded straps under the belly still dig into the wrong places when I use it to pull him up. I tried pulling him onto a dock a couple times with the handle and it looked more painful and he struggled more than when I just grab his front legs and pull him up.
