Kurgo's Direct to Seatbelt Swivel Tether attaches directly to your dog's harness and then clicks into the female slot of your car's seatbelt system. With this system, you do not have to undo the seatbelt every time your dog gets in or out of the car, you can simply leave it clicked in between trips. And, with the carabiner's swivel action,your dog won't get tangled in the seatbelt.

Great for keeping the pups from moving around in the back seat. Easy to hook & unhook from their Kurgo harnesses. I also like the adjustable strap.

We purchased this tether about 6 months ago and were initially disappointed to see that a different (and much less sturdy) carabiner was used than in the tether that came with the enhanced strength harness. In the harness use videos it is stated that the tether should not be clipped into the leash ring at the back of the harness as it is not strong enough to withstand a crash; however, the product photos shows this tether hooked into the leash ring. What is the point of this tether if not to secure a dog in a crash? It’s misleading and upsetting. We have been clipping this to the webbing on the enhanced strength harness and I was about to purchase a second for our new puppy when I noticed the photos. I wish I had trusted my judgement in the first place and returned the swivel tether when I was wary about the carabiner quality. The enhanced strength harness is great, but the swivel tether is frustratingly unsafe when installed as shown.

We're so sorry for any misunderstanding about this tether! Though this tether and carabiner are very sturdy, this tether is not crash tested, and was not intended for use with our crash tested harness if intending to use it in the crash tested manner. This tether is intended as a form of restraint for safer car riding than riding untethered, and to help reduce distracted driving. This information can be found in the description on this page. We're so sorry for any confusion. If you wish to use the crash tested method for your harness, this would need to be using the carabiner that came with your crash tested harness, and attaching it directly to the seatbelt strap and the harness webbing without a tether being used. I bought this a few years ago for roadtripping and it gave me such peace of mind. my dog doesn’t move around much, but driving 8-10 hours some days just made me want security. I keep this in my car for longer (1 hr+) trips, and it’s great and doesn’t bother rex at all! my one complaint would be again, it’s a little short. when we were road tripping, we turned the backseat into a little den for him using the backseat extender, and he had his bed there along with blankets and toys. when he was in his bed, the seatbelt didn’t reach far enough, but I hacked it by using some knots to shorten his regular leash and clip it to the carabiner on the seatbelt! maybe y’all could sell an extender or another length? I think I also bought the bungee one and both worked great. I tell every dog owner that they should 100% have this on hand at all times.

I like the swivel ability of the clip, but it should be larger. It’s hard to clip and unclip to the dog

The Kurgo seat belt holds my dog in place while letting him move freely. You are able to adjust the belt for movement and its easy to snap in place. It connects to the harness which is helpful. I think my dog likes it because he feels stable as he stands up during the ride.

We purchased these tethers to allow a bit more movement when the dogs are in their Kurgo carseats. They are secure and more comfortable for our pets. Kurgo products are simply the best, especially for traveling with your pets!! We know they are well protected and comfortable on car trips.
