Questions
Is this tire difficult to clean? Is it safe to put meat-based wet food in it, or will it be too difficult to clean it thoroughly?
- I think you could hand wash/soak it easily but would check with Kong to see if it is dishwasher safe. I have only put hard treats in the one I purchased. It has held up very well to an avid chewer.

so tell me something about putting snacks inside but wouldn't your dog wind up just eating a ton of snacks also I read article that said something about freezing Kong toys putting them in your puppy's crate any info on these two things would be great
- Hi Ric70, Okay it looks like that they may have 2 questions (1) On how to stuff a KONG and (2) aid for crate training. 1. For the question in regards to stuffing a KONG, they can actually add their dogs’ food of dry or moist dog food inside the KONG and top off with a teaspoon of peanut butter and place in freezer. This stuffed KONG can be used for giving their current meal instead of a bowl or you can provide with treats as well. If they would like additional recipes they can be found online. For a Tire shape we suggest mixing moist and dry food and you can let your dog use this as a meal replacement. We always say with new dogs that are trying a stuffed KONG for the first couple of times is to pack the food loosely inside the KONG to start and if your dog is able to get all of the food out quickly you can pack the food in the KONG tightly and freeze. This is like a puzzle for your dog so you don’t want the dog to get frustrated on the first try and make it too difficult. You want them to enjoy the toy and treat. 2. I’m adding this information when introducing a dog to a crate- Crates provide a sense of security for dogs and also aid in house training. To successfully crate train a dog, it’s critical to create a positive association with the crate. • Start a dog’s crate training by stuffing a KONG toy with a favorite treat. • Let the dog see and smell the stuffed toy, then place the KONG in the back of the crate leaving the door open. • As the dog chews on the KONG inside the crate, they begin to feel more comfortable and create a positive association with the crate. Repeat this until their dog is happy to settle in the crate on their own. Thanks
