Is an extending lead for a dog misleading or not ? I have read mixed reviews on extending leads and i can't make up my mind if its ok or not?
PULLING: Off-leash, she walks alongside me. Outside, she wears a comfortable harness(pictured). •I stop and use sit command. If I verbally praise her, she jumps right back up and back to pulling. She doesn’t do treats. If I don’t praise her, she’ll stay until I begin to walk again and she’s back to pulling (repeating steps during entire walk). •Gentle leader. She will not walk and acts too ashamed.

hi! today on a walk with my polish tatra sheepdog and cavalier puppy a neighbour dog that had previously attacked my dog was off leash and ran towards us, then his owner got him on leash and they stopped and went to their property, but then suddenly the big dog pulled out the leash from my hands and ran towards the dog owner and tried to bite him, there wasn't any blood, he just grasped it. but it is very scary that such a big dog runs to neighbours and scares them.
How do I correct leash aggression?
Jack is 8 months old and we take regular walks. To date the furthest he’s gone is about 2 miles. How far is ‘safe’ for a pup his wage, when can I increase walk length, and when can I start including him in more vigorous activities like hikes and off trail walking?
My young dog (somewhere between 1-2 Y/O) loves to swim. However we do not have a pool so the best option is to take him to the local lake. Our leash isn’t long enough to let him get any further than 4 inches deep in the water so we let him off the leash to swim. He saw geese on the other side of the lake and tried to swim across. He got so far that I had to swim 60 yards into the lake and back to bring him back. Any advice to let him swim but stay away from another scary situation like today.

Our puppy is 9.5 weeks old , got him a week and a half ago . He is energetic . We put him on a harness and a leash . He’s just sits down and doesn’t want to move . I adopted a medium mixed dog yesterday. He was neutered the day before. The humane society's record showed he was crate trained. He barks almost constantly when in his crate, except the first few minutes when he's working on his peanut butter Kong. I walk him before crating and he urinates and sometimes has a BM during the walk. If I can't get this addressed, I may have to return him. Please help!
