15 lb mini doodle puppy ingested the rubber from this toy. I put peanut butter in the treat ends and the pup had it for no more that an hour. Do not recommend and watch your fur babies because this shouldn't happen according to KONG. So far haven't been able to upload/add a picture.

Great for Rescue Dogs that Aren’t Used to Chewing

I got this for my mom’s 6 year old chihuahua mix. Prior to adoption she didn’t know she could chew on things. She loves this bone! Having the ability to add yummy treats to the ends encourages chewing but it’s soft enough to help strengthen her jaws a bit and get her used to playing and chewing.

Is the bone dishwasher safe?

    We suggest KONG toys be washed in the sink using warm water, soap and a bottle brush or toothbrush. For truly tough gunk removal, KONG toys are top-rack dishwasher safe (skip the heated dry cycle). Running the dry cycle can degrade the rubber and reduce the longevity of the toy.
