Kept our 1.5 year old Brittany entertained for about 20 minutes before he chewed up the outer ring

I purchased this toy a week ago for the newest member of our pack. Because we are keeping our current dogs separated from the new dog during this transition period, I wanted to find some new enrichment toys for the new dog to use. He has been using this toy out on our brand new patio that has stone pavers. This toy now has a difficult time rolling due to the scratches it has obtained. We also have the Kong Wobbler, which he also uses out on the patio, and it doesn't have nearly as much wear on it despite getting tossed all over. The blue plastic on this toy is not super durable. This is such a bummer, because other than the Outward Hound Snoop, this Kong Gyro is definitely one of our new dogs favorite toys.

No, I do not recommend this product.

We got this a couple years ago for our medium sized mutt, she is pretty gentle and can keep a plush toy for almost a year. She's very food motivated and loves this toy. We feed her almost every meal from here to slow her down and she loves it. If you have a fairly calm chewer this is a good toy

Yes, I recommend this product.

Dangerous Treat Dispenser

I filled this toy with treats and my medium sized mutt destroyed it in about 20 minutes. She chewed the red ring apart. Luckily I was watching and got it away from her before she started swallowing chunks of plastic. Not cool! Buy at your own risk.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Similar to others my 9-month-old Corgi destroyed this on day 1. I walked away from her for 60 seconds and she was scratching and chewing on the plastic. If I wasn't close by we would have ended up at urgent care. I cannot recommend this toy because of my experience.

No, I do not recommend this product.

I bought this a week ago. My Yorkie looks forward to using it every day. She will look at it and tell me (bark) that she is ready for it. She will play with it until it is empty and doesn’t give up even if a piece is too large to come out.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Are any parts of this rubbery?

  1. IT is plastic and my 9 month old lab puppy chewed a big hole in it in 20 minutes. NOT DURABLE!

How big should the treats be

  1. I would first like to say that this is the most Awesome toy. My dog never tires of playing with it. I use small soft treats referred to as mini bites to fill the toy. You can also take treats that are easily breakable into small pieces to fill the toy and if out of treats your pets dog food will also work as filler to keep them happy and busy. Petco carries several different brands of each.

I have two dogs one is 15 pounds and the other is 20 pounds. Is this toy too big and heavy for them?

  1. My dog is 13lbs. She loves the KONG Gyro. She pushes it around all over the house.

How large is the toy-treat dispenser?  Have a small dog who loves to chew and destroy   Thanks er

  1. I would not leave the dog unattended for too long with this toy. It is interactive and my dog loves it.  But not chew proof
