Not a great purchase

Normally no complaints about Kong items but...This was a frilly ball of yarn mess in about 5 minutes. Have bought other tightly woven items which last. This one is too loose, has no structure, just falls apart.

No, I do not recommend this product.

My dog Loves this toy !

I have been looking for a new Stoggie for YEARS ! The place where I originally bought it never restocked. Probably because they do come unraveled from the ends pretty easily - don't give it to your dog unattended. I just sew the ends back up. Might sew it down this time before we play with it. My 7 year old - 40 pound, non-aggressive chewer- loves to fetch. This is a lot safer than a stick - because she wants to eat the wood ! With this, we can safely play - pull & fetch, without concerns about hurting her teeth. In fact, I think it helps to clean them. The last one was a different brand, I think, but this one - being a Kong - may be sturdier, we'll see. I plan to buy several, just in case they get discontinued. I don't give my dogs "leather" chew toys anymore- because my doberman thought anything made of leather was open season. My boyfriend left his muddy boots outside all day (despite my warnings) and that evening he went out to find half of a boot :) It was hilarious (to me) !!!! Didn't hurt the dog at all (the leather gets real slippery and slides right through stomach)....Boyfriend cried though - boots were brand new !!! Warned him that the dog had previously eaten my leather gardening glove. That dogs' Momma once ate an entire fresh, raw, deer hide that my Dad left outside for 30 minutes after hunting/skinning it. Came out in one piece !!!! Maybe that hurt her a bit - upon exit - if you know what I mean:) Otherwise - no stomach damage. Since then (40 years ago) - no more rawhide chews. Switched to those knotted rope toys - NOT any more though --- - my rottweiller untied a three knotted one and ate it in less than 10 minutes (she had practice with previous two knot ones). That one required surgery to remove. As with ANY TOY - Put them away after playing with them and never give to them unattended !!! Common sense - but I got distracted for a minute. She almost died. The first vet said it would pass through (He did no x-ray or ultra sound). 2nd opinion Vet. surgeon showed it was in stomach, upper intestine, and lower intestine - would never have passed though on its own. Hope my mistakes help you. Play safe :)

Yes, I recommend this product.

Resembles a stick and my dog loves it! Works great for tug of war and doesn't get soggy or overly wet when playing!
