Not up to the quality of Pennington Wild Bird Seed

LoveTowhees

I bought the Kaytee because I couldn't find the Pennington Wild Bird seed that I was using. It doesn't contain any sunflower seeds which finches and other song birds love, but it does contain an extremely small black seed, which they apparently don't like, since it is left in bottom of trays on on the ground below the feeders. Even rodents don't seem to like it, since they clean up all the other spilled seeds.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Finches and other small birds LOVE this mix! It has all their favorite seeds including the often missing canary seed, red millet and nyjer. I have to fill the bowl daily -- they eat it all!

Looks like a keeper!

I cannot get Enchanted Garden Gourmet Finch Food online (not going into stores during the pandemic) so am looking for a good replacement that my Indigo Buntings will eat. The Kaytee Wild Finch Wild Bird Food "looks" like it will be a winner. I will know more when the Buntings return to Wisconsin in the next few days.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Wild Finch Food with the Purple Label

SAMarshall

I gave been using the Kaytee Wild Finch food with the purple label And the birds love it. I tried a different food from Kaytee as well, But they did not touch it for several days. I went back to using the purple label and the birds all came back. Can you tell me what that is all about? I am interested in getting a larger amount of bird seed then just the 8 ounces and yet they don’t seem to want any other food but the one I have which only comes I believe in the 8 ounces.

Yes, I recommend this product.
