I won’t be purchasing this again. A waste of $$$.

I filled up my nyjer feeder 4 days ago. I haven’t seen any of my finches feeding from it. I have other feeders containing sunflower chips and dozens of finches are feeding from them all day. I’m thinking the huge bag of nyjer seed may be old. They definitely aren’t interested in it.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Nyjer seed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The best thing to do with this seed is hang it in a sock feeder. It is the easiest way for the birds to access it. Squirrels will chew holes in it so it’s best to hang it high enough in a place they can’t get to. I don’t seem to have that many finches near me, but I do see a few every now and then eating this.

I live in a rural area in Oregon that has many birds, and the house finches and goldfinches really like this seed. I fill my feeders with it and it disappears within a week!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Just average bird food

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have a ton of bird feeders in our neighborhood and I put this feed out and it brought in birds but not consistently. I found the birds more so ate it off the ground than from the feeder. If I were purchasing bird food again this wouldn’t be my first pick.

Our finches love it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was my first time trying this seed but our finches seem to love it. The bag is super sturdy and has a handle on one end so it’s easy to move and pour. I used it in a small tube feeder which worked perfectly. The seed is super tiny so I wouldn’t recommend using it in a large feeder.
