- I don't know if it's sterile, but I've never had a problem with the seed germinating.

Is there a good high calorie supplement, vitamin or food that I can offer my seed junkie parakeet? She scored a poor body condition, was described as thin at her exam. Currently taking Metacam for an ouchy foot.

Is milkweed toxic to a budgie parakeet?
Hi! I recently got a little baby parakeet. So far, she’s been doing very well; it’s been a little over a month. However, instead of eating all of her seed mixture, I think she just picks through & eats her favorites because there are a lot of remnants at the bottom of her cage that are uneaten. She eats kaytee Fiesta seed mix. Should I change it? Add something else? Or what what I incorporate in her diet to make sheets she’s getting what she needs? She’s tried apple so far.

My cockatiel has been eating Leferber’s Premium Daily Diet pellets as a staple diet. She’s also been eating broccoli everyday. I also give her a bit of crushed eggshells once or twice a week. She has a cuttlebone available at all times. I’m wondering if this would be an okay product to give her? She isn’t much of a veggie eater. Will this be beneficial or unnecessary for her? what fruits can a parakeet eat?
My bird, tweety who is about 7 months old have just vomited. When I looked at the vomit I saw whole pieces of the seeds that he had always eaten as if he just swallow up them without even chewing them. Tweety lives with an other budgie, Rico who is one year old. Also, we had a great weather the last few weeks in our cold country so we took the bird cage almost every day out to let them have som fresh air. I don't know what to do! please help!
My pigeon likes black mustard seeds which is fried with oil. If I give her mustard seed which is not fried with oil ,She doesn't like to eat it. She won't eat that. But she loves to eat fried mustard seeds. Is it good for her health??? Shall I give her??? Please tell me.
