I bought this today and my hammie devoured it in 4 min.

I used this food with my previous hamster, and he did like it but I soon realized that this food is very unhealthy for your hamster. It does not give ANY of the essential nutrients a hamster needs in his/her diet. I also noticed that when I got the food and opened the package, the food seemed very "dusty".

This is the third food i have tried with my gerbils. This is the one they like so far. It has a nice variety for them and not just seeds.

We hamsters love this food. It has a nice mixture of oats and corn and other healthy ingredients. Our vet always stresses that small animals should not have a food mix with seeds in it as seeds are bad for our coats. And this one fits that criteria, except for the sunflower seeds, which hamsters, of course, love.

Kaytee makes great food and this one is not one of them. This bag offers very little variety and it does not offers a great nutritional value either. A majority is seed and millet, which is high in fat. My hamsters usually don't go crazy over this, but they do eat it. Plus side is that it's very reasonable in price.

I bought this as the last bag on the shelf to feed my hamster and two rats so I love how convient the diet is. However when I got home and opened the bag I was very disappointment to see what looked like spider webs. I assume moths made their homes inside the bag. Double check before purchasing, otherwise a great food and after cleaning it my rodents love it. Disappointed that it wasn't clean though.

how many times can you feed 1 hamster with it.

I would estimate one bag (2 lb) per month. Figure on putting 1 tablespoon in their dish per day. I switch between a couple different foods and usually have two or three hamsters, so it varies how quickly they eat it. Its hard to estimated because hamsters hoard food. so what you put in the dish isn't necessarily what they eat. They may have a pile that you throw away when you clean their cage.
