I purchased the 20 pound bag since it was on sale and it arrived with literally hundreds of bugs inside and even in the shipping box too. As soon as I opened the box they were crawling all over my kitchen counter. I took the bag outside and opened it up to find hundreds of black weevils crawling around in the seeds. I wound up tossing the entire 20 pounds outside in the grass for the birds and my bird got nothing. The sell by date said July 2025 and the bad arrived June 2025 so it must have been sitting in the Petco warehouse for months growing the bugs inside. And it was packed inside a Petco shipping box, so it was a Petco employee who packed it. How did they not see all the bugs inside it?! I have been buying the 5 pound bag for years without issue so be aware that if you decide to buy the 20 pound bag in order to save money you will probably get a 20 pound bag of bugs! Who wants that? I will stick with the 5 pound bag from now on and buy from somewhere else because Petco obviously keeps their product sitting in their warehouse too long and doesn't car about sending outdated product. Thankfully they refunded me, but it shouldn't have happened in the first place. They seem to have zero quality control.

I am not real impressed with your prices on the Kaytee cockatiel food--i used to be able to buy the bigger bag for twenty dollars but now have to pay twenty dollars for the smaller bags--I have to spend the same amount of money for half the bag size plus they don't sell the big bags in the store anymore so I may have to look elsewhere for a different brand

Someone mentioned in their review that there are no black sunflower seeds in this. However from the photo, it appears that there are sunflower seeds in it. My cockatiel won't eat anything that doesn't include sunflower seeds. Please confirm about this.
