Questions
Why do all the different types of hay have different descriptions?
- Because each type of hay comes from a different plant. They have different nutrients, textures, and moisture content.

can i use this for baby macaw that just hatched from egg for nesting
- Hi there, you can use it, but if you are purchasing specifically for the nest box, you may be better suited for our Clean & Cozy. Clean & Cozy is very low dust and is also very absorbent. If you have any further questions/concerns, please feel free to reach out to our Consumer Care team at 1-800-529-8331!

Will this hay help if a person is allergic to the Timothy hay that their guinea pigs eat?
- Orchard grass and Oat hay we’re what I give my chinchillas since I am highly allergic to Timothy hay. They love it and have no issues. I also have it to my guinea pigs when I had them. You just have to make sure you still give them plenty of Timothy hay pellets to help with a healthy balance. Watch for wet tail as can happen when switching them over. Avoid alphalfa- it can be to caloric for them long term.

Is this good for baby rabbits 2months old? I know they need at least 16% protein, but I hear this type of hay is really good for people with allergies causing asthmatic type symptoms
- Yes, the Orchard Grass is fine for a 2 month old rabbit.

I cant afford timothy hay what is a good cheap hay i could afford?
- Try a farm supply store, where you can buy a small bale of timothy hay at a very reasonable price. Also, if you have a bunny rescue organization in your area, they may sell hay as well.

Is this Orchard Grass safe for use as nesting material for finches?
- Yes it is very safe my finches love it..

Does Kaytee Orchard Grass get spread on the floor of the cage with the bedding or go in a food dish?
- I put this into a hay feeder. I don't see what I'm using on Petco's site, but it is similar to their Super Pet Hay Buffet. It keeps the hay mostly in one area and things seem a bit tidier. As far as I know you can just put it into a pile on the floor, but I prefer the feeder. I also used cable ties to attach cardboard to the back of the feeder so that less hay falls out of the cage.
