Kaytee ElectroNectar is the only food our hummingbirds will eat. They love it! I've tried red dye hummingbird nectar and they wouldn't touch it. I learned red dye can harm them. So I trashed the red dye. Then I tried a clear one called 'Perky-Pet' hummingbird nectar and they wouldn't drink it, they hated it. I love hummingbirds and was sad I couldn't find what to feed them. (Yes, I've tried the homemade sugar water but it gets moldy fast and I don't have time do be cleaning feeders daily) So after losing money trying different kinds of hummingbird food, I tried Kaytee ElectroNectar and yay! They love it! If they didn't like this last one, I was done trying to feed them. I'm glad they love it because I love hummingbirds. Year after year, our large beautiful hibiscus flowers in the yard attract and naturally feed many hummingbirds and butterflies we get. When the wind and rain blow away the flowers, hummingbirds always have Kaytee ElectroNectar food to eat. The word's out that we have delicious nectar because we a lot of hummingbirds come by before their long flight heading south!

I clean and care for my hummingbird feeders but I am unable to attract any birds. What can the reason be?
- The birds love this nectar, I have lived in three separate places from the coast to the valley and I have had no issues attracting them. I would make sure you have the feeder in an open place first, to ensure they can see the feeder. Once they discover it, and are eating from it, then you can gradually move it to your desired location. Like with any feeder, the birds need to actually see that it is there first. If you have flowers that you see them by, then that may be an ideal location to start with. Also, the birds are attracted by the color of the feeder, not the nectar. So if your feeder isn't attracting them, youay want to explore a new feeder. Good luck!
