List of the best bird foods for parakeets
I have a 22 year old Timneh African Grey parrot. I have used Harrison's pellets medium size in the past. It has been discontinued. My parrot won't eat the fine size and drops the large size into water. I need suggestions of what else to use.
Hello I have a 4 month old Black Capped Conure. I’m thinking about changing his diet to Lafeber’s pellet berries. Is that a good diet for him? Also how do you gradually switch the food? Thank you
Is there a good high calorie supplement, vitamin or food that I can offer my seed junkie parakeet? She scored a poor body condition, was described as thin at her exam. Currently taking Metacam for an ouchy foot.
My cockatiel has been eating Leferber’s Premium Daily Diet pellets as a staple diet. She’s also been eating broccoli everyday. I also give her a bit of crushed eggshells once or twice a week. She has a cuttlebone available at all times. I’m wondering if this would be an okay product to give her? She isn’t much of a veggie eater. Will this be beneficial or unnecessary for her? I’m including the details of the product in attached photos. I do feed her some seeds as a treat sometimes. Thank you.
My Conure today has had watery stools a few times. He started having watery stools a couple hours after bathing and having blueberries. I recently started giving him fruits because I haven’t had him that long and just got him use to eating them. I also recently changed his diet from Kaytee Forti Pro health to Lafeber’s parrot food since just yesterday. He is use to eating the Kaytee food since that is what the pet store fed him. Could that be why his stools are watery?
I’ve been trying different healthier food brands for my sun Conure. He’s currently on Sunburst Conure Blend and I think it’s making his “breath” smell terrible. He’s acting and pooping normal. But could it be an infection? His beak and nostrils show no signs of discharge or discoloration
We're wondering if there's anything we can do to improve her diet. Right now she is eating pellets (Zupreem, converting to Zupreem naturals), seeds, and we offer veggies every day despite her never really finishing them. We're now grinding up a Tums onto the food every day, as she was egg bound recently. We get 30-60 mins of time outside a day when possible, for sunlight. Any suggestions, or does this look fine? Thanks.
We have a pair of male parakeets now 10 days. They seem to adjust just fine, but yesterday we noticed the older one doesn't let younger one eat seeds how much he'd want to. Today I found out half of the poops (from the younger parrot) are green! Not really watery, they look more like porridge-consistency but definitely far from the normal. The younger parrot did try a little bit of green paprika yesterday, but the amount he ate was minimal. What else could be the reason of this discharge??
Hello doctor my green parrot eating like what humans eat like rice or snacks ND biscuits all eating it's good for him health?? Parrot won't eat much vegetables and fruits
What toys are the best for parakeets
Hi, I have a 1.5 year old greencheek conure. He eats maily pallets, some vegetables fruit and nuts. His short feathers on the wings dont look healthy. I have searched with flashlight to find parasites but didnt. What is causing this?
