Difficult to put together and too small

Bought this, admittedly before doing enough research on hamster habitats, but discovered the size was way less than the recommended space for our hamster. The cage was difficult to put together and the it was very noisy at night due to the hamster gnawing her teeth on the bars. Have upgraded to a much larger enclosure (one that can also accomodate a hamster wheel) through a different company (acrylic sides/non-chewing/800 square inches) and "Olive" is much happier (and we are too). :)

This is NOT a proper cage for a hamster. it is WAY too small, I don't even know how you are allowed to sell this.

Small but entertaining for a mouse

I bought this 2 weeks ago for one pet mouse who is a male. So far he seems to be happy exploring it.He builds up his bedding and likes to run up into the tower. I have not really seen him use the ball although I find poop in it. I am a little concerned because he climbs the wire in the cage, especially by the door where I think the wires might be farther apart.

The round plastic plug our hamster escaped through luckily we found the hamster but this thing is not reliable for holding in a hamster now im forced to either buy a new one thats a different brand or buy tubes so hopefully it can't get out of those plugs. I should have looked at these reviews before buying it I can't believe how many people have the same issues and nothing has been done about the plug holes on either side.

Hamster can escape this cage

I bought this cage along with a hamster for a Christmas gift. Last night the hamster escaped twice from the green lookout room. Luckily I saw her and it’s taped shut now but I have video of how she figured out how to bite the latch and push it open.

I bought today and it was great until we put the hamster in the cage and he couldn’t move the ball. Me and my husband tried and finally gave up. Really disappointed especially after paying $69.99.

Is there a way to replace the ball on top? It doesn’t seem very secure. My little granddaughter just popped it loose! Kind of scary!

We bought this a week ago and the wheel is driving us NUTS! It is so loud. Is there a way to fix this? I also had the same problem with the look out tower. It pops right off. I put a rubber band around it to keep it on. The ball/wheel came undone too.
- I had issue with that too. I used cooking oil (olive or vegetable) to stop the ball from squealing (I figure it was safer for the critter than using WD40). My critter also liked to build his nest in the ball, so when he woke up and started running, he was tossing his bed and making even more noise. I eventually got a cage without the ball attached.
