DO NOT BUY! Horrible design, hamster escaped!

My daughter has two of these linked together for her hamster. Imagine our surprise when we saw her hamster standing at the top of our staircase! Thank goodness he was there and we were able to safely get him back in his home. After some investigating my daughter noticed one of the metal bars near the door has come loose allowing him to pull the bar and pop the door open. For now I have the doors wired shut with picture wire until I find a solution. DO NOT BUY THIS CAGE!!!!

IT IS TOO SMALL!!!!!!!!!! Do NOT buy this for a long term or permanent hamster cage. The bare minimum for a hamster cage is 450 square inches I prefer 20inx40in. Also it is waaaayyyy to expensive in my opinion, i recommend looking on Niteangel or bucastate for proper hamster cages! Also the wheel is to small and does not work very well. It also does not let you put more than 3 inches of bedding but hamsters need a minimum of 6 inches but I perfer 10-12 inches.

DO NOT BUY THIS FOR YOUR HAMSTER!! I recently got a hamster and I bought this cage. It’s WAY too small for a hamster. The bedding is like 10 centimeters! 10!!! Now I have a 40 x 20 in. hamster cage that was way less cheaper than this one. It was only 35 dollars. Your hamster will suffer in this cage. I promise what I’m telling you is true! DO NOT BUY!

Please look into cage requirements before buying this, it's not remotely large enough to accommodate all that a hamster needs to live a healthy and happy life. Please do not listen to the reps at petco and responses here saying it's a great choice, it's not.

This is way too small for any hamster to live in. I used this as a temporary cage for my hamster and it was a big mistake. She escaped 2 in the span of a couple days. Also the wheel is tiny and the blue tube connectors and not secure at all. This could maybe be used as a transportation cage, nut never as a permanent enclosure.

Hamster Escaped. Stay away.

Hamster Escaped. The tube connectors on the side are very loose and the hamster has gotten away three times now. Each time we tried something different to help keep her in but it didn't work. The cage is absolute garbage.

This is WAY too small, and my hamster opened the tube connectors on the side and got out. I did find her, but I returned the cage right away. Maybe good for a temporary transport cage.

would Winter white dwarf hamsters escape?
- No they wouldn’t be able to unless you pop off the circles on the side that are used to connect tubing. Besides that it’s practically impossible for them to escape I have a Roborovski dwarf hamster and so far he hasn’t been able to escape, not once.

Will this cage be suitable for 2 rats
- No this is a pretty small cage. We have had 2 mice in it and it’s fine for them. Maybe good for a dwarf hamster.

What are the dimensions does this have at least 360 square inches of floor space?
- The dimensions are 16"L x 10.5"W x 10.5"H. This means that the it has 168 square inches of floor space. Is the wheel nosey at night
- Yes, it is squeaky. Please get a larger cage for your animal than this. I bought one on a whim then actually did my research and they need MUCH larger. A tank works well!
