We just brought home a gerbil and she doesn't seem to be drinking a lot of water. also we bought the little creature play house cage and it came with the whole set up. Her food sits on a tray but to get to it she must climb up a tube to get there yet she hasn't figured out how to climb up inside and threw it to get to the food which is her only way.so we had to leave it on her bedding but want her to learn to climb the tube for her food and since it's for hamsters she should too plz help us
I bought a critter cage for my rat. It has powder coated wire bars on the floor of the cage with a litter tray under it. I've read conflicting reports on whether the wire bars on the floor could hurt the rat's feet? What is the medical opinion?

I'm looking to get this cage. The chart says it's good for two guinea pigs, which I have. In the comments a lot of people say their two guinea pigs were happy. But I just wanted to be sure. I'm thinking about getting this cage and then getting another later on to attach to it and expand it. What do you think? My 14 month/almost 15 month old rat is experiencing vaginal discharge after going through a constipation spell. The discharge was originally brownish, we fed her pumpkin and cranberry juice for the constipation and possible UTI, and it is now orangey. She is not in any pain and is acting like herself. She was just at the vet Thursday night and was deemed to be fine. I have ordered medications to have on hand from a bird biotic website. They’re amoxicillin, baytril, and doxycycline. Will it help?

Im worried about my guinea pig, Tazo who I just got on July 1. I dont think he is eating enough vitamin C. I observed cage where he came from and noticed that he was only fed timothy hay, kaytees fortified daily pellets, and lettuce. He is brave enough to be hand fed by me. I tried had feeding him bell pepper but all he does is sniffs it and looks at me as if i am giving him a piece of cardboard to eat. Ive also tried putting it into a bowl and letting him eat it.
