Not suitable for hamsters at all

WAY too small for any hamster. You will need an enclosure with a minimum of 450sq inches of floor space, an 8 inch wheel or bigger for a dwarf, about 12 inches for a Syrian. (Depends on size) You will need multiple hideouts, multi chamber hide, sand bath, foraging opportunities, chews, and you will want your hamster to exhibit other healthy behaviors that a cage this small cannot provide. There is also not enough room for deep bedding. Hamsters need lots of bedding for burrowing in, hiding food in etc. There is still way more info to learn about hamster care. If you want to learn more, I would recommend doing lots of research on hamsters and see if they are the right pet for you, and you can learn more about hamsters and hamster care

Product is poorly made: water bottle is not stable nor is the running wheel causing it to not really work. The other attachments are made of plastic and aren’t that well made and do not secure properly. It is barely enough room for a dwarf hamster. I purchased a new wheel and bottle, but I’m still not satisfied and already looking to replace this cage with another.

This cage is to small for hamsters or gerbils. Both these animals need large cages 450 sq inches bare minimum, deep beeding, and large wheels. This cage cannot provide any of these things!!

I haven't bought this cage but the dimension themselves sound cruel for any animal! You cant keep in small pet in here! Hamster including dwarfs require a minimum of 450 sq in this cage would literally be torture for them! I honestly love kaytee products and I use a lot of kaytee products myself but they need to step up their cage game! If kaytee really looked into the requirements for a small pet cage I think they could create something amazing for pets but until then I will not be recommending any of their pet cages.

This is my first day with it and the water bottle won’t stop leaking which is really annoying. It’s too late for me to try to buy one that doesn’t do I hope my robo hamster can drink out of a small dish

I have a teddy bear hamster and I bought this cage as a temporary. I came home from work and noticed he was not in his bed. The door was closed and latched nothing looked disturbed until I saw the bars had been bent at the top and he had escaped through that. He came crawling to me on the floor once he heard me call his name. Do not recommend. Very disappointed.

Bought the cage yesterday for my teddy bear hamster just as a temporary home. The cage was faulty and was missing a bar. Came home from work and thought maybe he was just borrowing, then I saw the top of the cage. Now I’m trying to find him before anything bad happens

- I would not suggest it for mice, they can slip through the bars. I would only put in a medium sized hamster.

will this fit a white winter hamster
- Yes, it fits my winter white hamster perfectly, and he has lots of room. Although I do recommend this as just a starting cage and upgrading later on.

How many ounces is the bedding and food?
- The bedding is 250 cubic inches, which is plenty. About 1/6th of the package fills the bottom of the cage. The food is 2.5 pounds of a seed mix. The solid chunk foods are better though because the hamster can become picky about what seeds and pieces they like and wont get full nutrition from the product.

What is the best cage for a Dwarf Hamster????(:
- The most important part of a cage is to get something with very small gaps between bars and NO large gaps ANYWHERE. Especially check for gaps by doors and water feeders. This particular cage has proven to be escape proof but it is cheaply made.
