Instructions and Assembling For my Ferret

whitewave430

I had the worse time putting this cage together. It took me hours just to work on the one shelf where the ramp kept popping off when it has to be bent to go to the next shelf. That didn't make any sense to me. I just put it together the way I wanted to that made more sense. And the shelf with the hole I put on the lower level not the top. That didn't make any sense either, because the food dish fits right in it. My Ferret loves it, but the instructions, and the way it shows its set up was terrible.

No, I do not recommend this product.

NEVER BUY THIS FOR A CHINCHILLA

chinchilla_lover123

I have had a chinchilla for about 5 years and if you are planning on getting one, do not buy a cage like this. I have a ferret nation. Chinchillas NEED room due to them being so agile. This is not an acceptable cage by any means. If you plan on taking your chinchilla home or need to travel with them this is a good option as a temporary cage. This should never be a permanent home for your chinchilla. They will get annoyed and will chew through it. There is simply not enough room for them.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Missing Parts

Jess SealHyatt

I bought this for my ferret and as I was reading the parts included noticed there’s no third shelve, hole to keep dish in place and wire clasp to hold water bottle.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Very spacious

Very spacious. Our chinchilla has plenty of room to jump. The printed instructions were useless. Issue with ramps popping off shelves until we creased the top of the ramps. Wooden ledge wont stay secure to cage when Oreo tries to get on it. Ok starter cage for the price.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Not Enough Room

Emmi123

This cage is barely enough room for a rat if not a chinchilla. Chinchillas need at least a cage with a 2' by 2' floor space and 3' tall. Ideally they should have a much larger cage. Please go buy the critter nation instead. Honestly, this is a good cage, but just not big enough for a chinchilla. It would be perfect for mice if the bar space was smaller.

No, I do not recommend this product.

is it big enough for two ferrets

  1. Hi there! We would recommend our Kaytee Deluxe 24 X 24 Multi-Level Home With Casters for two ferrets.

Hi! I was just wondering how big the bar spacing was.

  1. 1"

What is the bar spacing? Thinking about using this for adult female and baby rats?

  1. The bar spacing is 1". We'd actually recommend this habitat for rats. https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/kaytee-my-first-home-305x18x30-multi-level-exotics Give us a call at 888-255-4527 if you still have questions.

Is it big enough for two female chinchillas?

  1. No, it's not really large enough for one chinchilla. I would recommend the Ferret Nation or Critter Nation 2 story cage for multiple chinchillas.

Would this cage be okay for a larger Syrian (Teddy Bear/Long Hair) hamster?

  1. No, this habitat is too large for a hamster. The bar space is too wide.

Is this cage suitable for a guinea pig?

  1. No. Guinea pig experts will tell you that 7.5 square feet of space is the MINIMUM requirement for 1 to 2 guinea pigs, not including "lofts". They need adequate room to run and play to stay healthy and happy. If they do not have the right amount of space, they could get depressed and not be as cuddly and loving as you would want your guinea pig to be. PLEASE research guinea pigs online before buying one. You will find out lots of useful information that will make both you and your guinea pig happier, and your guinea pig will be healthier, live longer, and have a great life. :]

Can Rats live in this cage???

  1. Yes, the cage is suitable for 2 but it can rit up to 4 rats at the maximum.

Is this cage suitable for a chinchilla?

  1. A chinchilla should probably have a larger cage. Chinsmom is right, chinchillas should have aspen bedding ONLY as pine and cedar aren't good for their respitory systems (am I spelling that right?). They should also run on wheels, but the wheels have to be larger than 12". For hay I'd definaetly (ugh, spelling again) recommend Kaytee hay. Oxbow is great too, But Kaytee is just so much cheaper to feed your pet regularly. Also, chinchillas need sand baths as water cannot penetrate their fur. Yay! It's been a couple years since my chin died (RIP Bagel) but I still remember my chinchilla facts!

Is there any way to extend the cage?

  1. You would be better off building a C&C (coroplast and storage cube) cage yourself. Google it to find information. Then you could build a big enough cage and build it to fit your situation. Some people build corner cages, square cages, very long cages, etc. to adjust to the room they are putting the cage in!

Can two female rats fit in this cage? Answer fast!!!!!!!!!!!

  1. yes, they will fit very comfortably with extra room in the cage.
