Good for rabbits or any animal that requires beddi

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I acquired the clean and cozy white bedding, and my bunny absolutely adores it. While it effectively absorbs urine, it can be unpleasant to observe after urination. Consequently, daily bedding changes are necessary. Notably, I did not detect any unpleasant odors. Additionally, it is an eco-friendly option. The texture was satisfactory, although the packaging was not particularly impressive. Overall, the bedding was exceptional for my bunny’s comfort.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My hamsters did well with this bedding. The white really shows where they like to potty and makes clean up easier. I change my bedding out in my cages every two to three weeks, and the smell was minimal (I have a sensitive nose). The package holds quite a bit of fluff, it takes about two of these for my 40G.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my go to substrate for my hamsters. This bag fills the base of a 20 gallon glass tank with around 3 inches of bedding (perfect for burrowing!). It eliminates odors and doesn’t need to be changed as frequently, which is super helpful.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very nice bedding. It worked great for our doe rabbit, and she seems to like it. It is soft and the package is a nice size. We will probably get it again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this bedding for my rabbits litterbox. It is soft, fluffy and unlike others does not get caught or tangled up in his fur (double maned Lionhead so lots of fur!!) The price of Kaytee is also lower than a similar popular brand, so that is also a plus. It is packed compactly, and expands when fluffed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This bedding is super absorbent and soft. Odor control is excellent. I like that there is less dust compared to using pine shavings which is better for my daughter guinea pigs. The only downside is the bedding easily shows droppings and urine causing the cage to get dirty quicker.

Soft & Expandable Bedding

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Admittedly, I was nervous to try this product as I had seen reviews online where there were particles mixed in with the bedding that had harmed animals. Because of this, I poured the bedding into a box first and combed thru it with my fingers to ensure there were no fragments prior to putting into the cage. I was pleased to see it was free of anything harmful. It expanded nicely and provided a nice lining for the critters. Thank you for the opportunity to sample this product.

Great product just a little messy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like this fluffy bedding, I've used the same kind before it's just been a good while. Pros: you can easily see when it gets unsanitary and you need to change out the shavings (without smelling it first ) it's fluffy, soft and moldable if packed (which lil critters love for tunneling and making a burrow) it looks nice Cons: (ironically the same tbh) because it's white you can easily see how dirty it is no matter how fresh, so it's great that you can see for pet health and safety, but it's never gonna look clean from the moment you drop your critters back in it's looks better and worse.

Questions

Hey Ive got a really big question. what is better for guinea pigs bedding or a blanket?

  1. if you are looking to save money, bedding isn't the one for you. You can easily use any blanket, or fleece with pee pads under, or potty train your pig. you can use 2 blankets, or pieces of fleece that fit the enclosure and switch out between them. also, they will make quite a mess out of bedding. And the types of cages that are properly fit for guinea pigs are pretty open and they will probably get the bedding outside of the cage. and bedding is more so for pets like hamsters that like to burrow. saves you more money since blankets and fleece can be used multiple times. If you look up "Thepigroom" and "alyssanpets" they are really knowledgeable on this stuff. I also recommend guinea dad products.

How long does an 85 liter last? I am going to buy a dwarf hamster and don't want to spend to much on bedding.

  1. Depending on the size of your habitat, 85L could last quite a while. You do want to put a thick enough layer for them to burrow into in a habitat that is appropriate in size. My daughter gets like 5 complete changes out of an 85L bag in her robo dwarfs 20G terrarium.

what are the dimensions of the 85 L? and is this safe for rabbits?

  1. This is a very safe product for rabbits! It is 99% dust free, it is very absorbent (holds 3 X its weight in liquid), has no chemicals. I buy it in 10 L bags and I have 4 rabbits, we probably use 1 bag per week. I don't think I've seen an 85 L bag.

Um. Is this good for chinchillas?

  1. Hi there! Yes, this bedding can be used for chinchillas.

I bought a bag at a yard sale n don't have animals. Can I put it on top 0f my soil on my plants ?

  1. The product will either be shredded toilet paper consistency or shredded egg carton consistency. The TP type is really light weight and will blow away on windy days. I compost my pet's used bedding for 1 to 2 years before using in my flower beds. If used alone I think it may not work well in TP form or go back together in the egg carton type, forming a hard mat and possibly get moldy because that's what happens under the waterer if not changed frequently.

is this very dusty? I have asthma and dust is very bad for me and my mice. If so, is it possible to somehow remove the dust before putting it in?

  1. I use this for my Syrian hamster and he has not had any problems . I don't know how you would remove the dust . It has very little that I see when I change his tank

is it safe for this product to be delivered?

  1. Hi there! Yes, this bedding can be delivered.

How long will this last with two gerbils?

  1. I use this with a Syrian hamster and I only have to change it once a month - he uses a sand bath to urinate  in so the rest of the tank stays dry and odor free - works good

Is this bedding good for mice?

  1. Yes! I've had 3 mice in the past that have loved this bedding. It's great for burrowing, and easy on their skin.

Considering this is the first time I'm using this for my mice, is it ok if my mice chew on it, or should I remove it and get something else?

  1. Mice will chew on it. Our guinea pig did, and ate it. We went to a towel inside of a pillowcase. There are premade fabric liners you can find online, as well. Aspen wood shavings are closer to their natural environment, provide chewing exercise for their teeth and are digestable.
