Can this be fed to baby hummingbirds along with a sugar water/crushed insect mixture?
- Hi there! No, we don't recommend this be fed to any baby hummingbird or any other baby bird. It's intended for baby domesticated pet birds.

Can you give this formula to a 2 day old budgie/ parakeet. Or does it have to be like a week old?
- You can but it isn't easy hand feeding a newly hatched chick. It's best to let the parents feed the chick for at least the first week.

Can this be given to adult parakeets?
- Hi there! We wouldn't recommend this for adult birds. However, an option would be our Fiesta line!

Can this be used for baby Mourning Doves?
- Yes, this can be used for all baby birds.

Does this work for wild baby birds?
- It is NOT formulated for WILD baby birds! Kaytee posts a warning right on the bag! It is perfect for exotics like parrots, that’s what it was specially formulated for (look at the pictures on the containers, they’re all parrots) but it does NOT have enough nutrition for wild native baby birds! Petco’s older comment above isn’t correct. I’m a longtime wildlife rehabilitator. If you’ve found a wild baby bird or any other wildlife that needs help, please contact a local wildlife rehabilitator who can help you! ;)

What food is best for raising baby finches?
- I have never dealt with finches but this food is recommended for all bird types. They do have another kind but it is for Parrots. I have hand fed wild birds, that have fell from the nest or injured, with this formula as well and has worked wonderfully.
