Is this bedding safe for rats? Ive seen alot of bedding that arent safe even though the products says it is perfectly fine? Also does your bedding have oils?
- Aspen bedding is safe for rats. In fact they love to burrow in it. It is a hardwood so it doesn't have the harmful oils in it.

Are aspen shavings/bedding safe to use for pot belly pig litter?
- Thank you for contacting Drs. Foster & Smith with your question. Aspen shavings are safe to use as litter with a pot-bellied pig. Aspen does not contain the volatile hydrocarbons that pine and cedar contain. The strong scents associated with pine and cedar are due to the presence of these volatile hydrocarbons. It is these volatile hydrocarbons that may also cause respiratory and skin irritation. Another option would be to use shredded newspaper as a litter substrate for your pot-bellied pig. What is the best bedding for my rabbit
Hello I have 4 boy guinea pigs and I want ro know what the best bedding cause my oldest piggies hes coughs sometimes like he got something in his throat and money for the vet is expensive and I need to know where can I found a good place for piggies

I switched my guinea pigs to Kaytee Lavender bedding. They both have food, hay, and water. Two bowls of food, two bottles of water, and two hay containers. They both seem to be chewing on the bedding and I'm worried. Should this be a concern? I'm worried about their digestive system from chewing on the bedding. My girl friend said her guinea does it too when she's bored, could this be why they are chewing it? They share a cage.

My guinea pig blue passed a large poop today & when he did he squeaked. They have been eating OXBOW Timothy hay for a year now but the quality in the hay has changed & they stopped eating it they picked out the fuzzy pieces so they haven't been getting the amount of hay they should be for around 1 month, someone said try OXBOW orchard & he's been eating it like a "pig", could not really having hay-having hay & eating lots DO THIS? he only passed 1 big poop & only squeaked then , now all normal
Why does my hamster sleep in the corner when I’ve provided her a hide out? I got her a bin cage and the first night she used the hide out then started pushing it out the corner and sleeping right next to it. She also stuffs the hide out with bedding. I try to encourage her to use it but taking the bedding out but she just stuffs it back.
