What is the size of the heating pad inside this bed?
- All K&H indoor heated pet beds feature one of our Pet Bed Warmers which is 8.5" x 9". Our indoor heated beds are designed to warm the core of the animal, so the warmers inside are not the full size of the bed as this is not necessary to keep your pet warm. As the Pet Bed Warmer warms the core of your pet, their blood carries that warmth throughout their body. If you are looking for a product where the entire surface is heated, our outdoor heated pads and beds do feature a fully heated surface to combat extreme outdoor temperatures.

It's about 90 - 95 degrees f in my house about now and my cat hasn't moved all day, I checked his breathing and he seems to be doing okay but he hasn't drank all day, he's a flame point Siamese..

Cat urinating on bed
I am going to purchase a cat bed for my cat soon, I wanted to take a proffesional's advise on where to place my cat bed (please look at attached photos). My cat's favourite place to nap and relax is either the bed or the cat tree, recently the bed more. When shes not napping, she spends time at the kitchen window watching birds and people walking. Otherwise she's playing and running around with her toys.

I don't have air conditioning in my apartment and it can get quite hot in the mid afternoon - sometimes I'm away at work. How can I best keep my cat cool and safe? She is terrified of humans and while she's getting more and more comfortable in my home, I'm unable to get close to her so I need ways to make sure she's cool without being able to pet her, wet her paws etc. She has lots of water and sleeps under my bed - are cooling mats useful? If so, what do you recommend? Thank you!
At home we have out thermostat for when we are home at 22.5° celcius, but when we leave or go to sleep it goes to ~18°C. Since we're in Canada and we have really cold winters will my cat be cold when the temperature in the house goes down to 18?

I've moved and to get my cat acclimated I've decided I'm going to crate him while we are working. The crate i have is 42"x28"x30", with a dual level. Will this be enough space for my cat? He is 14y/o, and will be crated for 6-8 hours 5 days a week for a few weeks, until he gets used to the area. Of course he'll be inside the house, and let out in the evenings and sometimes for a bit on lunchtime.

I found my cat Moosh squeezed himself into a rolled up carpet and died. At first I thought it was suffocation, but now I'm afraid it was heat stroke and he might have still been alive. When I found him, his eyes were squeezed tightly, his mouth was sticking out of his mouth. His paw was curled under. He didn't seem to move out of his hunched over positon. His chest was warm when I pushed on it, but nothing happened when I pushed on it. i think top of his body was hard, not sure anymore.
So I took in a stray that is at least five years old and has rather obviously had it rough. I am keeping him segregated and also set up a cat condo for him in said room, which he tends to stay in, sleeping (the condo, I mean). I bought him this nice, plush self warming bed that he is absolutely rejecting. Seriously, he'd rather sleep on bare floor than this bed. But he'll rub on it and lean against it to sleep. Why does my guy hate his bed? *note, I have provided him with soft blankets he loves.
