The K&H Thermo-Kitty Bed has a dual thermostat 4 watt heating unit buried deep within its thick, super soft, orthopedic foam base. It warms the surface 10 -15 degrees above ambient air temperature to your cat's normal body temperature when in use. The washable cover and is attractive in any room in the house. Indoor use only.

Very Popular With the Cats in Our House
My cats love these beds. I tried these after the heated mats were a real success story at our house. The heated beds are most popular in the wintertime. The heated mats are popular year round. I have never had any issues with any of my K&H heated pet products. I like that the outside cover can be washed when it gets dirty. Highly recommended for cat owners.

Our cat loves it!
After having the Thermo-Kitty bed for several weeks, our cat finally figured out he loves it. If your cat doesn’t like it right away, keep trying it. Our cat finally settled into it when it is on our bed. Now he is in it all the time.

Superb Quality!
I have had two of these beds for almost 12 years and they are as good as the day I bought them, through MANY washings. The only thing that has worn is the batting in the cushion. One of these days, I will re-stuff them. Amazing Quality!

Is it safe to leave this plugged in unattended?

How does the heating pad work? Batteries?
- You simply plug it in. When in use, the bed will heat to your cat's natural body temperature, which is about 102° F. When unoccupied, the bed surface will remain 10-15 degrees greater than room temperature.

Is this bed large enough to be comfortable for larger (not fat, but thick long legs & long body) cats? Comfortable = can easily fit without having to curl up into tight ball?
- Hi Kyra, Thank you for your question. The best way to determine if your cat will fit is to measure your pet. The sleep surface for the small 16" diameter K&H Thermo-Kitty Bed is 15" x 15" and the sleep surface on the large 20" diameter bed is 19" x 19". Hope this helps!

is there any danger in heating pads for older cats in their beds.
- As long as your pet is healthy the Thermo-Kitty is safe for your pet. Your kitty will love the warmth, especially since they're cold natured. The heater inside the Thermo-Kitty Bed is thermostatically controlled to remain 10-15 degrees above ambient air temperature when your pet it not in the bed. When your kitty cuddles up inside the bed it automatically warms to their normal body temperature of about 102.
