The worst!

I hate this waterer. Impossible to clean the inside of the container since the opening is so small and there's no way to get around the opening because of the angle. Horrible design. You will regret buying it. Negative 10 stars

We’re really sorry to hear that you’re unhappy with the design of the waterer. We understand how frustrating it can be when a product doesn’t meet your expectations, especially when it comes to cleaning. Your feedback is valuable to us, here is a hack we found helpful both to our co-workers with the waterers and consumers alike. Cleaning your K&H Waterer To keep your K&H Waterer clean and free from buildup, follow these simple steps: Prepare the Cleaning Solution: Add hot water to the waterer bottle. Add 1-2 tablespoons of baking soda. Pour in 1-2 tablespoons of vinegar. Add a handful of small, smooth rocks to the bottle. These will help scrub away any debris during cleaning. Clean the Bottle: Secure the cap and gently shake the bottle to mix the solution and rocks. Swish the mixture around for a few minutes, allowing the rocks to scrub the inside of the bottle. Rinse Thoroughly: Empty the solution and rinse the bottle thoroughly with warm water to ensure all baking soda, vinegar, and debris are removed. Let the bottle air dry completely before refilling with fresh water.

Best waterer for winter! Keeps water from freezing. When gets below 0 will need to check to make sure top doesnt freeze and chickens run out of liquid water.

Thanks for your review! We're glad you find it helpful for winter! You're right—when temperatures drop below 0°F, it's always a good idea to check the top to ensure your chickens have access to liquid water. We appreciate your feedback!

I've had mine for a few years. It works great. I wouldnlove for them to have a bigger water capacity.

Disappointed

Cosmo

This is the first year we have had chickens, so we are newbies. Disappointed that both the water in the trough and the holding tank has frozen during the first really cold weather this winter. Also, the holding tank is a nightmare to clean. Roost-free design? Not!

My dog chewed the spill proof cap and I need a replacement part. Is there a way to get a new one?

easy way to clean the jug

benji84

I easily clean the algae from inside the jug by dropping a rag in it and swishing it around with water in all directions. I can pull the rag out when I drain the water. a handful of rice swished around with water works also.
