Baby chicks can actually drown in a waterer, particularly if it is larger and designed for adult chickens, that's why we came up with K&H Chick Savers. K&H Pet Products Chick Savers for Poultry Waterers are foam blocks that are specifically designed to help prevent accidental drowning of baby chicks. The pre-cut foam blocks fit perfectly into each of the five compartments of the patent-pending K&H Poultry Waterers or K&H Thermo-Poultry Waterers. With these Chick Savers, your chick can no longer submerge themselves in their drinking water! If you are raising baby chicks, this is an essential product to keep your chicks from drowning. Designed by K&H Pet Products with OVER 20 years of experience in creating safe, innovative, quality products for pets.

my hen is bleeding from beak
I believe my chicken has frostbite, I saw her limping today. I soaked it in warm water with a tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide for 15 minutes. I put Neosporin on it and covered it with a sock so she doesn't pick at it. Is there anything else I should be doing?
My chick burn by rice water and he is in pain now
My chick's droppings are reddish brown
Hai, I made my hen for brooding, what is the first food for the chicks???
I was cleaning out my new chicks water dish and found something...concerning. Possible parasite? it appears to be a worm; it couldn't have crawled in since the brooder is inside. I've raised chickens before and never encountered something like this...any ideas of what this is exactly? This occurred on the second day of having them.
My rescue kitten is bottle feeding and I don't believe he's no more than 5 weeks old, but he keeps chewing the nipple off the bottles and I'm afraid he's gonna swallow one. What can I do?
How do I stop my chicken/rooster from bleeding on his head
Hello, We seem to be having an issue concerning the poop(?) of some of our 5 day old chicks. We ordered them online from a quality breeder, not a mass-hatchery like Tractor Supply or Agway. All of a sudden, some of them (4 or 5 of them out of this batch of 22 chicks) seem to be pooping weird, long, stringy poops that don't look normal. We were thinking they could be intestines, however looking at images of intestines coming out of chicks it doesn't look like that- it's not bloody or anythin
Are these steps true about making your own recovery food (DIY Critical Care) Pour Warm Water or chamomile tea over a 1/4 cup of pellets in a bowl Allow to sit for about 5 mins, letting the pellets fluff Add additional water or tea and mix well to make a pudding like slurry.
Hi... my chicken got kicked by my horse today and her leg seem to be broken or fractured I can't tell and can't pay for a vet bill to find out. She lips around and in the picture where it's circled I know the fracture/brake is in that area. She puts no weight on it and hops around on one foot. Is it possible to split it? If so how can I do that and with what materials? I live on a farm so I have plenty of things to use to fix it. Please help I would really like to keep my few laying hens alive.
This is a question about chick hatchlings. We have Siklie chicks hatching. One just hatched in the coop the hen is using. When is it safe to remove the chick from the coop and place under a heat lamp? We are concerned because temperatures are still dropping down to the 50's where we live and the hen is not making it a priority to lay on the chick.
