I don't have air conditioning in my apartment and it can get quite hot in the mid afternoon - sometimes I'm away at work. How can I best keep my cat cool and safe? She is terrified of humans and while she's getting more and more comfortable in my home, I'm unable to get close to her so I need ways to make sure she's cool without being able to pet her, wet her paws etc. She has lots of water and sleeps under my bed - are cooling mats useful? If so, what do you recommend? Thank you!
My dog ripped two medium sized holes in his self cooling mat (brand is “unleashed”) and I’m sure he digested some of the gel, exactly how much I do not know. They advertise that it is nontoxic, but idk if I should be worried or not?
Hello, I have a 7 year old black lab. He's a big boy who gets very hot in warm weather so likes to lie on the coolest surface he can find which is always hard. Consequently, he has callouses on his elbows but they have become a lot bigger this year and one of them looks sore. I just wondered what Ii could do to alleviate this problem. Ways to keep my 7 1/2 mth gsd cool will outdoors at summer events
Pet had skin die off, back rt foot (after severe abscess in back rt hip threatened amputate) Vet removed dead, new skin growth underneath. This left atleast 50% of exposed flesh, the other has new skin growth. Antibiocs & cleaning w/chlorhexidine 2xs a day.(metacam 1x day for 2 day.)With cleaning and limited mobility still seems impossible to keep clean, constantly finding dirt/debris, misc stuck to raw skin. Is there a safe way to cover wound while also letting it breathe for healing purposes?

Hi my Hans just now is breathing fast. It is really hot weather these days but I just want to inform myself well on how to keep him cool for the summer. I bought a blanket that stay cool for 8 hrs but he dosent use it and I have 3 water fountains around the house for him. What else can I do for him? And is the fast breathing normal?
