Could this be placed inside a sheltered porch, have straw packed around it and keep a feral cat warm during a Michigan winter?
- For outdoor pets, we recommend the Lectro-Soft Outdoor Heated Bed, Lectro-Kennel, Extreme Weather Kitty Pad, or one of our other outdoor heated beds or pads. These are made for the outdoors and will provide enough heat for an outdoor setting during the cold winter months. Straw, hay, and wood shavings are all very combustible materials, and we would never advise using any of those materials in conjunction with any type of electrical or heated products. Please remember not to place anything on top of a K&H outdoor bed or pad other than the cover provided.

My very large male cat has trouble getting intout his litter pan.. Do you know where I can get a large, very large pan?
I am going to purchase a cat bed for my cat soon, I wanted to take a proffesional's advise on where to place my cat bed (please look at attached photos). My cat's favourite place to nap and relax is either the bed or the cat tree, recently the bed more. When shes not napping, she spends time at the kitchen window watching birds and people walking. Otherwise she's playing and running around with her toys.
I've moved and to get my cat acclimated I've decided I'm going to crate him while we are working. The crate i have is 42"x28"x30", with a dual level. Will this be enough space for my cat? He is 14y/o, and will be crated for 6-8 hours 5 days a week for a few weeks, until he gets used to the area. Of course he'll be inside the house, and let out in the evenings and sometimes for a bit on lunchtime.

why do a cat's sense of comfort make no sense? I am literally spoiling my cat here, he has free access to my bed, has a very soft sofa, it's own little pillow house, and he will rather sleep on the flat hard surface of the kitchen counter! Is my cat just weird or what? I have tried to place him in the pillow house, but I think he sees it as a cage like or something, he was briefly in there father placing a bit of catnip in there, but few mins later he was gone from there.
Hi, I posted a question earlier today asking for advice on where I should place my cat's new bed, in which the doctor suggested by the kitchen's window right next to the sink. It's been there all day now, I poured some catnip into the bed, put some treats in it, but everytime I put Raven on the bed she instantly jumps off and out of it. Haven't sat in it once. She still lays down on my bed. Please check photos for clarification.
So I took in a stray that is at least five years old and has rather obviously had it rough. I am keeping him segregated and also set up a cat condo for him in said room, which he tends to stay in, sleeping (the condo, I mean). I bought him this nice, plush self warming bed that he is absolutely rejecting. Seriously, he'd rather sleep on bare floor than this bed. But he'll rub on it and lean against it to sleep. Why does my guy hate his bed? *note, I have provided him with soft blankets he loves.
