Dear Experts, We are from The Hockaday School and are working to make an original dog food with only natural ingredients. We were wondering if our idea is successful and original. We would appreciate it if you looked at our recipe and could help us alter or work on it. Recipe: • Pork = 40 grams • Chicken = 40 grams • Salmon = 40 grams • Peanuts = 10 grams • Sunflower seeds = 10 grams • Basil = 10 grams • Rosemary = 10 grams • Oregano = 10 grams • Sweet potatoes = 20 grams • Carrots = 20 grams
My cockatiel has been eating Leferber’s Premium Daily Diet pellets as a staple diet. She’s also been eating broccoli everyday. I also give her a bit of crushed eggshells once or twice a week. She has a cuttlebone available at all times. I’m wondering if this would be an okay product to give her? She isn’t much of a veggie eater. Will this be beneficial or unnecessary for her? I’m including the details of the product in attached photos. I do feed her some seeds as a treat sometimes. Thank you.

Is pea flour and pea protein an ok ingredient in dog food? One thing I notice is that Fromm dog food uses these ingredients vs using whole legumes like Acana does. Does this make Acana slightly better or are they both equally as good? Why or why not? Also is whole fresh egg better than whole dried egg? One of the things I appreciate about Fromm is the smaller kibble size because I have a small dog who doesn't chew her food. Please explain your answer. Thanks!
Is chicken byproduct a decent quality ingredient? Why or why not?
