I bought this for my sister who’s Australian Shepard always gets tired after a mile when hiking… took a min for her dog to get used to but now I get pictures all the time of them and they both love it! I definitely won in the gift giving department.

Yes, I recommend this product.

K9 Sport Sack
Dear Suzy12345, I&#39;m so sorry the Rover 2 didn&#39;t work for you and your dog! Just like most new things, it can take some training and practice to get used to--both for you and for your dog. What we&#39;ve found is that once a dog gets used to going out in a K9 Sport Sack, it becomes much easier to get them inside the bag. We also find that more than 60% of all customers who return their K9 Sport Sack because their dog didn&#39;t like it end up purchasing one again later and loving it in the end. Sadly, less than 1% of dogs just won&#39;t ride in the K9 Sport Sack and we will gladly refund their pet parents&#39; purchase. <img src="https://s3.amazonaws.com/stratos-logos/logos/K9SportSack.jpeg" alt="K9SportSack" title="K9SportSack" style="display: block !important; margin-top: 2em !important; border: 1px solid #ccc !important; padding: 2px !important; background-color: white !important;" /> <!--[if ReviewResponse]><![endif]-->

The same weight limit and measurements are listed for the L, XL, and XXL. The photos do not show a dogs legs thru the alleged “leg holes”. A product that will cost over $300 needs detailed pics and clear, correct and concise information. Please help!

  1. Hi DJ! Thank you for your question. The max weight is the same for all the bags, the sizes help determine which would be best for your dogs girth and length. There should be a sizing chart in the photo selection below the product that will help you know which size to buy. As well in the photos the very last one has a picture of a dog in the carrier which might be a good example for you. Feel free to check the green version of this bag to see a different breed in the carrier.

If my pup is in between size should I go with the larger or the smaller of the bag? In this case, she's 23" length, should we get a Large or XL?

  1. Since your pup is right on the line between Large and Extra-Large, go with the larger size. You'll be better off with a little extra room. If the XL seems a bit large at first, just roll up a towel or blanket and insert into the base of the pack and this will give your pup a little extra height. We actually make an item called a Booster Block for scenarios such as yours. It is simply a 3-inch covered foam block designed to be inserted into the base of the K9 Sport Sack. It creates "half-sizes" giving your pup the extra space of the larger bag and the height needed to ride nearly head-level with you. The same outcome can be created by inserting a blanket, towel, yoga block, etc.
