Use only on dogs. DO NOT USE ON CATS or other animals. Do not apply to dogs weighing less than 4 lbs.Remove applicator tube from the package. Use scissors and peel down foil.Hold applicator tube in an upright position. Pull cap off tube.Turn cap around and place other end of cap back on tube.Twist cap to break seal, then remove cap from tube.The dog should be standing for easy application. Evenly apply entire contents of the tube along the top of the dog's back, from the shoulder down to the base of the tail. The number of spots depends on the size and weight of your dog (please refer to the product label). At each spot, part the hair until skin is visible. Place the tip of the tube on the skin and gently squeeze to expel a portion of the solution on the skin. Do not apply an excessive amount of solution at any one spot that could cause some of the solution to run off the side of the dog. Do not get this product in your dog's eyes, or allow your dog to ingest this product.

I purchased without looking at the side effects . Once I received it I realuzed it can cause seizures. I consulted with my Veterinarian he did not want me to use this product because of the risk of seizures. Lucy had seizures in the past. So I didnt want to risk it. Unfortunately Petco refused to except a return.

Flea season has been tough this year! While this product helped a little, it didn’t stop the fleas after about a week. We have yet to find a product that really works this year.

I bought this for my dog Mamas last week and it says fleas should be dead in 12 hours. I applied it and waited to get her wet, according to the instructions. She didnt have many fleas to begin with, as her last chews were just starting to wear off, but we are on day 5 now and I’m catching fleas jumping from her to me! I also, like an idiot, didn’t research this at all before buying. Never making that mistake again. The guy behind the counter highly recommended it and I was eager to get some relief for my fur baby. Recent reviews say the formula has apparently changed and made it ineffective. I’d have to say that’s true! However that’s not the most concerning part. I’m keeping a terribly close eye on her now, after reading the hundreds and hundreds of reviews talking about their dogs having SEIZURES and bleeding, irritated skin, which shows up hours to days after application. Mamas keeps trying to bend back and bite where I put the medicine but she can’t reach… I’m sure she’s uncomfortable. And I’m actually terrified right now. This stuff not only doesn’t work but could really really harm your dog!! I’ll shell out the extra $ for the chews because at least those worked! I’ll be attempting to return the second tube it came with.

I applied K9 Advantix II for small dogs (4 - 10lbs) to my toy poodle. He's oatmeal color fur. After the application, we noticed his fur on his back where the three spot applications were, turned grayish brown in a strip. What to do with the discoloration?

Give your dog a bath no less than 24 hours after application. The stripe will go away and they'll still be protected. For the medication to be effective, they can't get wet for 24 hours application. The topical does pick up dirt and fuzz, but after you bathe them it will be gone.

Advantix also repels pests. Most flea treatments only kill fleas when they bite. So Advantix may work for your dog.

yes me and my 2 pups we go hiking alot in the woods the mosquitos will float around the pups ive been using this flea meds for 10 years never had a problem with fleas ticks and mosquitos i always wash the pups wait till next day and apply k9 advantix 2
