Can I take a shower with a Amazon Parrot? What temperature range water is safe? Do I need to give them a cuttle cone? What to chew one? How often do I have to take them for beak/wing/nail trim? What size cage? It would probably be out a lot because I am home most every day. Only gone on Fridays. I want a bird that can do almost everything with me and not too small. About a medium bird? Any recommend birds? I’ve never had a bird but I know a few people that have birds. Right food? (See pic) thx!
Is budgies need everyday bath ?
Hi, My zebra finch hopped into a bowl of olive oil. He has the bottom of himself covered. This was yesterday, it's dried but oily. He is not tame, so can't bathe him
I've got a few questions. First my two birds are having a hard time bonding with me how do I fix that? Second I think my hamster needs a bigger cage, picture below, 3rd my leopard gecko has a heating Rock does that mean I can leave his light off during the night? How often should I clean out my bunnies litter box? My birds are starting to pluck their feathers due to boredom we're getting toy soon but how do I keep it from becoming a Habit in the meantime? Thanks!
Hi. My bird is plucking his feathers for a long time & now for the first time he stopped. I have tried everything there is. Now he is scratching his head against the Cage like its itching or irritated. He is also bathing like crazy. He opens his mouth like he wants to make noises but can't (before this he could speak). I keep his cage very clean & give him clean water everything. Please help.
I want to bath my budgie coz it is feeling very itchy and also he has lost some flufs under his wing are. Should I mist him with warm water if yes how much warm the water should be also can I use mist sprayers for bathing them? What's the best time of the day to bath them?
Ringo, Canary, is 2-1/2 yrs old - second Molt has now lasted approx. 11 - 12 wks. Still not Singing. He also has stopped bathing for at least 6 weeks. If I spray him, he will sometimes have a Bath, but, not on his own, as he used to do, every day or two. Is something wrong with him??
I have a 22 year old Timneh African Grey parrot. I have used Harrison's pellets medium size in the past. It has been discontinued. My parrot won't eat the fine size and drops the large size into water. I need suggestions of what else to use.
Bird looked fine Friday, by Monday the feathers were gone on left side of head & neck, skin is red, cracked, pitted & swollen. The bird is scratching at least 2x per minute, even when eating. I scrubbed caged & everything in it, & sprayed it & bird with mite/lice spray. Is there anything else I should do?
I have a 15 year old parakeet who is sitting at the bottom of her cage with her back to me. Everytime I try to touch her she squachs at me. I think she might be constipated, because she had dried black poop in her cage. Her feathers are ruffled and shes sitting in a ball.im gonna try the digestive sand. Anyway there's no vet near, wherever will help.
How long should I wait to introduce baths to my new cockatiel after I bring him home?
What toys are the best for parakeets
