Lots of rice

My dog has never been a fan of rice, so this was a bit of a challenge. We have been feeding it mixed with frozen which she loves and she is eating the mix well. We have tried many canned renal diets and she hates them. It is confusing with the label that says intermittent or supplemental feeding. We see the vet next week for a follow up test and we will see how it goes and how we should be using this.

I bought this because my vet said I needed my dog to go on a renal diet. Unfortunately as soon as I put it in her bowl she started shaking and ran away. I tried to mix some of her other food in with it. She tried to take those pieces out but would not touch any that touched this food. My husband tried to force her to eat it by making that her only option thinking if she was hungry enough she would eat it. Unfortunately she did not eat for a whole day. After all of that we gave up trying to feed it to her and are looking into other options for her.

    No, this is not the frozen JFFD renal support food. It's pantry fresh in a box. I keep it on hand in case I run out of the frozen or for emergencies (if the power goes out, etc). My dog loves it.
